Snowman Card (Crafty Creations Challenges #300)

http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone :o)

It's time for a new challenge at Crafty Creations Challenges, our 300th challenge!

Our theme for this fortnight is #300 - Don't be Blue! No blue allowed on project, or a card to cheer someone up.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps, whit a great prize for one random winner: 3 digital images of winner's choice.

For this challenge I made a Snowman Card, using our sponsor's super cute digital image 'Chester da Snowman'.

To create this card, I was inspired with a box I made in April this year. It was also my project for Crafty Creations Challenges. I used the same image, color scheme and papers. You can find it here.

Image is paper pieced and it has three layers.

First I printed the image on design paper panel and colored it whole with black Stabilo pen (marker). When paper piecing, I always color image or parts that will be hidden (under layers) with black pen. If I make mistake when gluing everything together, that will be hardly visible because of black under layer. :o)

Then I printed one image on a Kraft paper and colored it in watercoloring technique, using Distress Inks, fine brush and water.

I printed one more image on a white watercoloring paper and just shaded it in watercoloring technique, using Distress Inks, fine brush and water.

After coloring, I fussy cut colored parts, colored edges with black Stabilo pen (marker), glued all pieces together and glued them over the image printed on design paper.

I printed a sentiment ticket on the designer paper and Kraft cardstock paper, fussy cut them, colored edges with black Stabilo pen, glued them together and pierced a hole in it with needle. This ticket is one of six 'Warm Winter Wishes' Christmas Digi Ticket Stamp by Kimberly M. Landmesse, The Beary Scrap, and all are free.

I wrapped twine around the panel, tied ticket to it, made a bow and glued whole panel on the Kraft cardstock paper.

Card dimensions are 107 mm x 133 mm (4 1/4" x 5 1/4").
