Snowflakes Mini Cards

Hi everyone! :o)

This weekend I'm sharing projects I made before I went on holidays, but didn't have time to share them here with you. If you want to see more of those projects, just follow this link to intro post. :o)

First up is this set of Snowflakes Mini Cards.

Idea for this set of mini cards was born when I was making Three Snowflakes Cards. I mixed too many structure paste and tempera color, and had leftovers. I didn't want to throw away colored structure paste and I needed a lot of Christmas cards, so I grabbed some cardstock paper, cut it on same size squares (11 of them) and spread colored structure paste using lovely stencil from Create a Smile 'Snow Dance' kit to cardstock panels. I left them air dry one day.

After drying, I glued 3-D foam pads behind panels and glued them on white card bases. Simple and very easy to create and I didn't throw away any materials. :o)

Each card measures 67 mm x 67 mm (2 5/8" x 2 5/8").

List of supplies:
  • Create a Smile 'Snow Dance' kit (snowflakes stencil)
  • white cardstock paper
  • Aero Tempera Color (700 Ultramarine Deep)
  • Marabu acrylic paste fine sand
  • 3-D foam pads
  • MS scoring board
  • trimmer
  • scissors
  • tweezers
  • palette knife no. #1

I am entering my cards to following challenges:
Note: bold text and challenge badge (if any) are direct links to the current challenge and blog badge is a direct link to blog or challenge home page.
This is my 2nd entry to this challenge.

  2. What a wonderful flurry of snowflake cards! I love how you used such a beautiful rich shade of blue and how you made the snowflakes blue and your background white. The simple color palette is so striking and I love how clean and crisp these cards are. You did a wonderful job on these and I'm so glad you shared your stenciling skills with us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
