Feel Better Soon Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight + Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2016, #1)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS, Feel Better Soon Card.

For this card I used gorgeous Jane's Doodles 'Rain or Shine' stamp set.

I stamped sentiment and umbrellas on a white cardstock card base. I colored shafts with Light Grey Stabilo Pen.

Then I stamped three more umbrellas on scraps of watercolor paper. I blended umbrellas with 4 blue shades of Distress Inks. When I was satisfied with color, I fussy cut handles and canopies, colored edges on all pieces with Black Stabilo Pen and glued them over stamped images on the card.

Finishing touch were enamel droplets.

Card dimensions are 95 mm x 133 mm (3 3/4" x 5 1/4").

List of supplies:

This CAS (clean and simple) card is first card I made for a Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2016 personal challenge. If you want to find out more about it, just follow the link provided. :o)

Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2016 - Intro

Happy Friday! :o)

Today Pisces started, my favorite and most fruitful time of the year. Well, I'm Pisces, so that's normal. :o)

Last year I celebrated whole Pisces period in a challenging/crafty way. I called my celebration Celebrating 30 days of Pisces. I gave myself 4 challenges to complete them in 30 days. Goals of these challenges were to improve my coloring and card making skills, to learn some new techniques, to finish a "long time waiting to be finished" project and to improve my English, by writing here on blog daily.

If you like, you can find all about Celebrating 30 days of Pisces 2015 here.

I managed to complete all challenges, I accomplished my goals, made some new friends and had loads of fun! So why not repeat it. :o)

Welcome to the Celebrating 30 days of Pisces 2016!

This is a personal challenge and will take time in Pisces period that started today, on February 19th at 6:26 AM and ends on March 20th at 5:19 AM. (CET, UTC +1Dubrovnik, Croatia).

CAS cards are my favorite design and I want to improve myself. I'm challenging myself to make 30 CAS (clean and simple) cards.

Last year I was unemployed and had a lot of free time. I was crafting and posting on daily basis. That was the challenge. This year it's different. I work as a teacher of Math, Physics and Technics (LOVE MY JOB!), but don't have time or strength to craft or blog on daily basis. So, this year I'm not challenging myself to make cards or post on daily basis. I want to craft and have fun, so I'll share my progress weekly, on Sundays when I'll manage it. :o)

There will also be a giveaway, so be sure to visit upcoming Sunday for more details.

Thank you for visiting and reading. I'm off to color. Enjoy and smile! :o)

Iced Coffee Card (Crafty Creations Challenges #309)

http://craftycreationschallenges.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Yesterday a new challenge started at Crafty Creations Challenges. I realized that yesterday and made my card last night. :o)

Before I go to our new challenge and my project, something that may be interesting to you.

Now to the challenge...

Our theme for this fortnight is #309 - Something to Eat/Drink.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Fresh Brewed Designs, with a great prize for our random winner: 3 digital images of winners choice.

For this challenge I CASEd my own card and made this CAS, Iced Coffee Card. You can find my CASEd card here. :o)

I made "the original" last week and was so satisfied with it, so I had to CASE it. I think these are great masculine cards. This one will be for my coffee lover friend's birthday, he celebrates next month. :o)

My both cards have same layout, similar color combinations, sentiments heat embossed in white on black cardstock paper, same embellishments and images from same stamp set. :o)

For this card I used 'Iced Coffee' blueprint stamp. I Love Tim Holtz's blueprint images!! This stamp set was a blog hop prize from a Simon Says Stamp. :o)

I cut out a panel from a white watercolor paper and stamped image on it. I colored it in watercolor technique with Distress Inks. I also shaded it with light gray color I got mixing Distress Ink Hickory Smoke with a lot of water. I didn't shade the image on CASEd card, so shading is also one of differences. :o)

To add more interest to the image, I added highlights with white pen. When I was satisfied with it, I glued the panel on a white cardstock base.

Then I heat embossed the sentiment on a piece of black cardstock paper. I glued 3D foams on the back of the sentiment and placed it on the card. Couple of enamel stickers and my card was finished. :o)

Card dimensions are 101 mm x 132 mm (4" x 5 1/4").

List of supplies:

Party Hat Card

Hi everyone! :o)

My second post today... If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

Last week it was my brother's birthday and I made this CAS, Party Hat Card for him. :o)

For this card I used 'Party Hat' blueprint stamp. Love Tim Holtz's blueprint images!! I was so happy when Simon Says Stamp sent me this stamp set as a blog hop prize. :o)

I cut out a panel from a white watercolor paper and stamped image on it. I colored it in watercolor technique with Distress Inks. After coloring, the image was too dark, so I added highlights with white pen. When I was satisfied with the image, I glued the panel on a white cardstock base.

Then I heat embossed a sentiment on a piece of black cardstock paper. I glued 3D foams on the back of the sentiment and placed it on the card.

Couple of enamel stickers and my card was finished. :o)

Card dimensions are 101 mm x 132 mm (4" x 5 1/4").

List of supplies:

Happy Day Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #137)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today a new challenge started at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

The theme for this fortnight is #137, Balloons

This time our lucky winner will win a digital stamp of winner's choice from Wee Stamps.

For this challenge I made this Happy Day Card. I'm very satisfied how it turned out. :o)

For this card I used Create a Smile 'Uplifting' Stamp Set.

I cut out a panel from a white watercolor paper and heat embossed white clouds on it. I did some masking too.

After heat embossing, I colored the panel, blending it with blue shades of Distress Inks. When I was satisfied with the color of the sky, I splattered water on it. I love love love how Distress Inks react with water! :o)

Next up was an image. It's paper pieced and it has two layers. Some call it faux paper piecing. I stamped one hot air balloon directly on the panel and one on the watercolor paper. Then I colored the image stamped on the watercolor paper, again, blending it with Distress Inks. Of course I had to splatter the image with water. :o)

After drying, I fussy cut the image, colored edges with black pen and glued them on the panel, over the stamped image. Then I colored that tiny sand bags on the hot air balloon with green pen.

At the end, I stamped sentiment on the panel, glued panel on a white cardstock base and embellished card with enamel stickers. :o)

Speech Bubbles Birthday Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS, Speech Bubbles Birthday Card.

For this card I used two gorgeous Jane's Doodles stamp sets. Heart is from 'Rain or Shine' stamp set and sentiment from 'Anemone' stamp set.

I colored speech bubble wood chips with Black Soot Distress Ink. After drying, I heat embossed  the sentiment and heart on speech bubbles.

I drew faux stitches on a stripe of black cardstock paper with white pen and glued it on a card base.

I placed 3D foams on the back of the larger speech bubble and glued it on a white panel. The smaller one I just glued on the panel. Then, I added more 3D foams on the back of the panel and glued it on the card base. I love dimension on cards! :o)

I wanted some color on my card. Enamel dots were just right for this one, don't you think? :o)

Card dimensions are 95 mm x 133 mm (3 3/4" x 5 1/4").
