Panda Birthday Girl Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Panda Birthday Girl Card.

I made this card for my landlord's daughter, who will celebrate her 8th birthday tomorrow. :o)

I used super cute 'Panda Cutie' from 2013 January Panda Releases. These Pandas are melting my heart. Love them all!! :o)

How I made this card...

I printed the Panda on a white cardstock paper, stamped circles around Panda's eyes and colored them with black pen, as well as Panda's muzzle. Then I fussy cut Panda, traced edges with black marker, covered muzzle with Gloss Resin Gel and left it drying.

While Panda's muzzle was drying, I drew balloon shape on designer paper, cut it out and tied white cotton thread around it.

Then I created sentiment. I stamped word 'Birthday' directly on a top folded card base and glued alphabet stickers on it, creating word 'Girl'.

Last was to put all elements together. I love dimension on my cards, so I went with dimension on this one also. I added 3D foams on the back of the Panda and balloon and glued them on card. To make the Panda more girly, I created tiny pink bow on Panda's head with two enamel petal stickers. :o)

Dimensions: 98 mm x 133 mm (3 7/8" x 5 1/4")

I hope you enjoyed my today's spotlight card. Check out more cute images at the

Thanks a Latte Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone :o)

Yesterday was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Thanks a Latte Card.

To make this card, I was inspired with 'Beauty and the Beast' animated movie, which I loved so much when I was a kid. Well, I still do. Smiling objects... such fun! :o)

I used two Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'Coffee Time' and 'Under the Sea'.

First I stamped a sentiment on a top folded card base and a coffee mug, from 'Coffee Time' stamp set.

Then I masked jellyfish from 'Under the Sea' stamp set, using washi tape, to get only jellyfish's smile. I inked up whole stamp, removed washi and stamped smile on a coffee mug.

I colored the mug with two colored pencils and my card was finished. :o)

Dimensions: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

A Star is born Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #74 Mid Inspiration)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I'm sharing a mid-inspiration project for ongoing Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #74 - Baby.

We have two sponsors for this challenge: All Dressed Up Stamps and Make it Crafty, so there will be double prizes! :o)

For this challenge I made CAS (clean and simple), Monochrome, A Star is born Card, using our sponsor's All Dressed Up Stamps adorable digital image A star is born.

This card is the second card I'll be sending to my friend after she gave birth to a sweet baby boy. First card never arrived to her, neither returned to me. Stork flew somewhere... I hope this one will arrive to whom is meant this time. :o)

How I made this card...

Using Paint program, I cut an image on two parts: bear and sentiment. Then I inserted them both in MS Word document and created layout. I printed it out on a white watercolor paper and left it dry for an hour. I use inkjet printer and always leave image "drying" after printing to prevent ink smearing when coloring. :o)

I colored the image in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I glued the panel on a white cardstock card base.

At the end, using white pen, I added some highlights on the image, and my card was finished. :o)

Dimensions: 95 mm x 126 m(3 3/4" x 5")

List of supplies:
  • All Dressed Up 'A star is born' digital image

Summer Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #146)

Welcome Summer!! :o)

Today a new challenge started at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog. This challenge will run 4 weeks.

Our new theme is #146, Sommer / Summer.

This time we have 3 prizes for three lucky winners.

Prize #1 - rubber stamp from Lelo Design

Prize #2 - Quilling Kit

Prize #3 - Bicycle clear stamp

For this challenge I made this CAS (clean and simple), Summer Card.

I love summer and watching sailboats at sunset. Idea for this card was born in a second. :o)

I made a circle stencil and use it to create Sun. I blended Distress Inks directly on a card base through stencil. Blending was so easy with Mini Blending Tool. I used it for the first time. It was a gift from me to me for the end of the school year. I love to give myself presents. :o)

When I was satisfied with my sunset color, I removed the  stencil and stamped sentiment on the card base. The sentiment is from Create a Smile 'Sending Sunshine' kit.

Then I colored in black wooden sailboat, glued it on the card after drying and my card was finished. Super easy and fast to create. :o)

Card dimensions: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

List of supplies:
  • sentiment stamp from Create a Smile 'Sending Sunshine' kit

May Your Day Bloom with Happiness Cards (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone :o)

On Wednesday, June 15th, was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made these super simple, May Your Day Bloom with Happiness Cards.

I used two Jane's Doodles stamp sets to make these cards: 'Doodle Flowers' and 'Love Birds'. These were so fast to make and a great way to use lovely drop shape enamel stickers I have in my stash.

To make this card, I was inspired with my own card I made couple of month ago. I created tiny flowers using stamp as a template and enamel stickers. You can find the card here. :o)

First I stamped sentiment on each top folded card base.

Then I stamped tiny flowers around sentiments with VersaMark Watermark and glued various Create a Smile enamel stickers over petals, creating Ombré Effect with flowers on each card. :o)

Dimensions of each card: 132 mm x 101 mm (5 1/4" x 4")

List of supplies:
