Rainbow Bubbles Card

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Rainbow Bubbles Card.

To make this card I was inspired with gorgeous Laura's Bassen card. Love!! :o) I went with same layout as she did on her card, only I went with larger and less circles.

Using handmade circle stencils I drew a sketch in my notebook and when I was satisfied with an arrangement of circles, I started making card.

I blended Distress Inks through circle stencils in Chakra / Rainbow order on a white cardstock panel. Then I stamped a sentiment on the panel. I used Create a Smile 'Mini Birthday' stamp set. Love it! :o)

I trimmed the panel and glued a stripe of black cardstock paper and the panel on a white top folded card base. White highlights as a finishing touch and my card was finished. :o)

Panda Cutie Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Panda Cutie Card.

I used super cute 'Panda Cutie' from 2013 January Panda Releases. These Pandas are melting my heart. Love them all!! :o)

I printed the Panda on a white cardstock paper, stamped circles around Panda's eyes and colored them with black pen, as well as Panda's muzzle. Super fast and simple coloring. I fussy cut Panda and traced edges with black marker.

Then I colored chipboard speech bubble with Black Soot Distress Inks and edges with black marker. I left it dry on air couple of hours. Sometimes I use heat tool to dry chipboard faster.

For my card layout I used sketch and current challenge theme 'Use any kind of a banner', from Task for Two Tuesday Challenge, super fun challenge blog from Germany, owned by two very talented Ladies, Birka and Wiebke. Thank you girls for all the fun stuff you share on your blogs! :o)

And here's the sketch... I rotated it and put a sentiment on the top. :o)

*** Nutze Banner ***
- use any kind of a banner -

I cut out two banners, one from designer paper and other from textured black cardstock paper. I so much like this textured cardstock paper I bought over two years ago. I thought I have none, but found some scraps in my stash while I was organizing the mess. Happiness overload!! :o) (Note to myself: keep your paper scraps organized.)

Lastly, I assembled all pieces together. I glued banners and chipboard speech bubble directly on a top folded white card base, glued 3-D foams on the back of the Panda and placed it on the card. Two enamel dots as a finishing touch and this cutie is ready to make someone happy. :o)

Dimensions: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

List of supplies:

I hope you enjoyed my today's spotlight card. Check out more cute images at the

Leo Mini Circle Card

Happy Friday! :o)

My second post today... If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow this link.

Second card I'm sharing today is this CAS (clean and simple), Leo Mini Circle Card I made for my boyfriend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!!!

This one looks so nice with other mini I made him for Valentine's Day. If you like you can find it here.

How I made this card...

First I cut out circles from a white cardstock paper and glued them together on top. I love circle shape!! :o)

Then I stamped Leo from Mama Elephant 'Cosmic Stars' stamp set on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut Leo and colored edges with black marker.

Watercolor paper I use is not so thick and it doesn't work good with 3-D foams. I stamped one more Leo on a scrap of white cardstock paper and fussy cut him out, leaving white border around him. I glued colored Leo over uncolored one and my image was thick enough to work well with 3-D foams. :o)

Next up was a sentiment. I stamped part of a sentiment from Create a Smile 'Underwater Love' stamp set directly on a card base. Other part, word 'spectacular', is from Create a Smile 'Birthday Mini' stamp setI heat embossed it in white on a stripe of a black cardstock paper, cut out fish tail endings, glued 3-D foams on the back of the sentiment and glued it on the card.

Then I glued 3-D foams on the back of the Leo and glued him on the card, tight on the top of the banner.

My first intention was to embellish my card with enamel dots, which are my favorite embellishment. It looked weird and I didn't like it at all.

Inspired with Francine's Vuillème work, I decided to add tiny hearts on the card. She adds tiny hearts on cards often. So adorable!! :o)

I'm mostly clumsy and mess cards at the end, so stamping hearts directly on the card was not an option. I stamped twice cute tiny heart from Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set on the watercolor paper, colored hearts with Red Stabilo Marker, fussy cut them out, colored their edges with black marker and glued them directly on the card.

As a finishing touch, I covered hearts with Clear Gloss Resin, to create glossy accents, as well as Leo's muzzle. :o)

Happy Birthday Dad

Happy Friday! :o)

I hope you're all doing great. :o)

Today I want to share with you two birthday cards I made this week, one for my day and other for my boyfriend. They both have birthday today. I'll share cards in two separate posts.

First card today is this CAS (clean and simple) Monochrome Masculine Birthday Card I made for my dad.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! You are such an inspiration and a wonderful teacher.

To make this card I was inspired with fantastic Jennifer's McGuire Masked Stripes. What an awesome result!! :o)

For my card layout I used CAS(E) this Sketch #160.

My dad's favorite color is blue, so obvious color choice was blue. I used my favorite Distress Ink blue shade, Blueprint Sketch.

Using mini ink blending tool, I blended colors directly on a white top folded card base. My masking and steps how I blended inks were slightly different than Jennifer's.

After I finished blending the panel, it was a bit too dark for my taste. I didn't want to use water on my card, so I used white acrylic paint to light up some parts (the lightest stripes). I didn't mix acrylic paint with any water, I added it directly on the card from a tube and spread it with paint brush.

Next up was a sentiment. It's on Croatian and it says: Happy birthday dad. I typed it on a piece of white cardstock paper using UNIS tbm de Luxe Typewriter.

At the end I glued sentiment on the card, added some white enamel stickers and my card was finished.

Card dimensions: 93 mm x 126 mm (3 11/16 " x 5")

List of supplies:
  • white cardstock paper
  • Tim Holtz's Distress Ink (Blueprint Sketch)
  • Marabu Acrylic Paint (070 White)
  • Create a Smile 'Neat & Neautral' enamel stickers
  • UHU universal glue
  • 3-D foam pads
  • UNIS tbm de Luxe Typewriter
  • MS scoring board
  • Sigma Rotary Paper Trimmer
  • Fiskars High Precission Personal Paper Trimmer
  • Marabu flat fine paint brush no. #6
  • Ranger Mini Ink Blending Tool
  • scissors
  • crafting needle
  • washi tape, paper scraps (for masking)

Guest Artist: Zrinka Berić (I Love Math Challenge #2)

Hi everyone! :o)

I hope you're all doing great! There are still more than two weeks to join a second I Love Math Challenge. :o)

I am very honored to host very talented Guest Artist today, Zrinka Berić.

Zrinka is an amazing artist from Croatia, an owner of Owls and Co.

With her family, she also owns Toporko, wooden toys like no others. :o)

I love Zrinka's creations. Fun cards, gorgeous handmade dolls and animals, baby stuff, wooden toys... This girl rocks!!! :o)
I have a great pleasure to be in the same Design Team as Zrinka at Jane's Doodles. I was so happy when Zrinka accepted my invitation to be a guest in the challenge and super excited to see what will she create. :o)

Here is what Zrinka said:
"I’m not a math person. At all. Still using my phone for even simple operation like dividing two numbers. Silly, I know.
So when Milka asked me to joined her math challenge, I meant, please let it be simple.
And it was.. Number 2. How can it be difficult.
My card is as simple, as can be.
Two balloons, in two primary colours ( by Clearly Besotted ) on round panel. Happiness sentiment ( by Technique Tuesday ) on dotted paper ( by the Stamps of life ). All other papers ( white, yellow and dark blue ) are from my stash, I do not know where are they from. I used Color Box/Stephanie Barnard ink pads ( Banana & Blueberry & Midnight ). Die cuts are from Sizzix  - everything except circle, it’s from the stamps of life."

And here is ADORABLE Zrinka's card! I LOVE IT!!! :o)

When Zrinka sent me photo of the card I screamed: Wohooo balloons!!! I love balloons!! Air, water or hot-air balloons... Balloons are awesome!!! :o)

Lot of layers and dimension, with a lot of white space and minimum of color make this super sweet card brilliant CAS design. I love her take on the challenge! Two balloons stamped in two primary colors, two different stamp sets, double layers. She also used different geometric shapes on her card and used sentiment in an equation form. BRILLIANT!! :o)

Thank you so much Zrinka for joining the challenge and for the inspiration! :o)

Now it's your turn...

Create anything inspired by number two: two same design cards, two ATCs, two boxes, use number two on your project, stamp two same images on your project, use stamps from two artists/companies, use two words in your sentiment, embellish your card with two embellishments, use two colors...
