Thanks a Latte Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hello everyone! :o)

My second post today. If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Thanks a Latte Card:o)

To make this card I used stamps from gorgeous Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set.

stamped coffee cups and pots randomly on a panel, for which I used Canson XL Mixed Media Paper. I colored images in watercolor technique using only one Distress Ink Color: Ground Espresso.

While the panel was drying, I heat embossed a sentiment in white on a Kraft cardstock paper.

Next up was assembling the card. I glued various cardstock paper stripes on the bottom of a white top folded card base, glued the colored panel on the card base, added 3-D foam on the sentiment stripe and glued it on the card.

As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with enamel dots.

Vintage Coffee Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #186)

Hello everyone! :o)

It's time for a new challenge over at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

Our theme for this fortnight is #186, Kaffee und Kuchen / Coffee and Cake.

And here is my take on the challenge: Vintage Coffee Card.

To make this card, I used stamps from Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set.

I stamped coffee cups and pots randomly on a panel, for which I used Canson XL Mixed Media Paper.

I colored the panel in watercolor technique using only one Distress Ink Color: Ground Espresso. First I colored a background, covered images with paper towel pieces (imperfect masking) and splattered the panel. Then I colored images and left the panel dry on air.

After drying, I glued the panel on a white top folded card base and my card was finished.

I'm very satisfied how my card turned out. I achieved Monochrome Vintage look, just like I wanted. :o)

Card dimensions: 84 mm x 117 mm (3 5/16" x 4 5/8")

List of supplies:
  • Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set
  • Canson XL Mixed Media Paper, 300 g
  • white cardstock paper (card base)
  • Ranger Archival Ink, Jet Black
  • Tim's Holtz Distress Ink Ground Espresso
  • UHU universal glue
  • Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer
  • acrylic block (102 mm x 102 mm)
  • bone folder

Birthday Giraffe Card

Hi everyone! :o)

My second post today. If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

After a long time I went with coloring on a Kraft paper and made this CAS (clean and Simple), Birthday Giraffe Card.

To make this card, I used stamps from two adorable Paper Smooches stamp sets. A super cute giraffe is from a 'Zoo Crew' stamp set and a sentiment from 'Sentiment Sampler' stamp set.

I stamped the giraffe on a Kraft cardstock paper panel. I colored the giraffe and shaded a ground with TOZ Artist Color colored pencils and it's eye with a white gel pen.

After coloring, I stamped the sentiment on the panel and trimmed the panel a bit.

To add a bit dimension to my card, I glued the panel on 3-D foam sheet and glued it on another Kraft cardstock paper panel (same size as a card base). I glued everything on a white top folded card base, glued a white cardstock paper panel inside the card base (to make the card sturdier) and my card was finished. :o)

Card dimensions: 89 mm x 127 mm (3 1/2 x 5")

List of supplies:
    • Paper Smooches 'Zoo Crew' stamp set (image)
    • Paper Smooches ' Sentiment Sampler' stamp set (sentiment)
    • white cardstock paper (card base, inside panel)
    • Crafter's Companion Neenah Desert Storm Kraft Coloring Card (panels)

    • TOZ Artist Color colored pencils
      • dark yellow
      • light brown

    • UHU universal glue
    • eraser
    • 3-D foam sheet, 2 mm thick
    • Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer

Coffee Panda Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

    http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

    Hi everyone! :o)

This is my 600th blog post!! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Coffee Panda Card. :o)

To make this card I used a super cute Kitty Bee Designs 'Coffee or Tea Please' digital image. :o)

I printed the panda twice, one on a white cardstock paper and second on a watercolor paper. I colored first one with black marker, fussy cut it and traced edges with a black marker.

I colored the panda printed on the watercolor paper in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I colored a heart on a mug with a black fine liner, fussy cut the panda and traced edges with the black marker.

I glued two pandas together. The watercolor paper I use is very thin, so I had to do this to make the panda thicker, as I wanted to pop it up on my card.

Then I stamped a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set on a side folded white card base and drew frame with a black fine liner. I glued some 3-D foam on the panda and glued it on the card.

As a finishing touch I embellished the card with two enamel dots. :o)

    Dimensions: 127 mm x 89 m(5" x 3 1/2")
