B&W Goth Birthday Girl Card

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Black & White, Goth Birthday Girl Card. :o)

To make this card I used an adorable Tiddly Inks 'Whatever Floats By' digital image and My Favorite Things 'Cloud' stencil. :o)

I love challenging myself. Using minimum number of colors on my projects is one of them. :o) On my today's card I used only two colors: Tim's Holtz Distress Ink Black Soot for coloring and ink blending and Uniball Signo White Pigment Ink Pen to add finishing touches.

How I made my card...

I made a layout on my computer and printed the image directly on a watercolor paper. I left it aside couple of hours to let ink dry completely to prevent ink smearing while coloring.

I trimmed the watercolor paper to a desirable size and ink blended clouds in the background using the cloud stencil. I didn't mask the image, as I planed to color it afterwards, but tried to avoid as much as possible blending over it. I'm vary satisfied with my stenciled clouds, as this was the first time I created clouds on my card using ink blending technique and the cloud stencil. :o)

Next up was coloring. I colored the image in watercolor technique and left it dry on air.

After drying, I ink blended the panel edges and glued it on a black top folded card base. As a finishing touch, I drew white highlights with the white pigment ink pen.

I love how my card turned out. :o)

Rainbow Circles Birthday Shaker Card

Hi everyone! :o)

My second post today. If you missed first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

I want to share with you this Rainbow Circles Birthday Shaker Card I made couple days ago. :o)

To make this card I was inspired with my own cards, one made in July 2016 (find it here) and other in March 2018 (find it here). I went with same layout, CAS design, used Rainbow colors on all cards, but used different techniques on today's card and created an interactive card (multiple window shaker card). :o)

How I made my card...

First I prepared a card base and two white cardstock paper panels, all same size.

die cut seven CIRCLES in one paper panel and stamped 'Happy Birthday' sentiment stamp from Lawn Fawn which I received as a birthday gift last year from Lawn Fawn. :o)

I glued the acetate sheet at the back of the panel to close windows/holes and then 3-D foam squares around each window and rest of the panel.

Then I blended various Distress Inks on a white cardstock paper, approximately A6 paper size for each color (except green tones, Twisted Citron and Lucky Clover, those I blended together). After drying, I cut out seven pieces slightly larger than die cut circles, each from different blended color. I glued them on the another white panel.

I filled each window with transparent beads and glued two panels together. My shaker piece was finished. :o)

Lastly, I glued the shaker part on the white top folded card base. :o)

This is my first try on a multiple window shaker card and I love how it turned out. :o)

Here is a short video. :o)

Card measurements: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

Plant Birthday Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Plant Birthday Card:o)

To make this card I used stamps from a gorgeous Jane's Doodles 'Plants' stamp set.

How I made this card...

stamped a plant four times on a watercolor paper and stamped the plant and a sentiment on a white cardstock paper panel. I made a plan how will I layer (paper piece) the image and marked pieces with numbers.

I drew lines on a plant pot. Then I colored pieces I needed in watercolor technique using Koh-i-noor aquarell colored pencils. After drying, I colored pieces to be hidden in black with a marker.

fussy cut pieces I needed, traced edges with black marker and softened pieces on a soft working mat using stylus ball (this curls images a bit).

Here is a photo of all pieces I used for paper piecing the plant.

With all pieces ready, I assembled the card. I glued the panel directly on a white top folded card base and glued plant pieces together with a liquid glue. I glued leaves only on the top and left bottom parts unglued.

As a finishing touch, I drew white highlights with a white pigment ink, curled leaves a bit and my card was finished. :o)
