Rainbow Dragon Card (RCC #16)

Hello everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Rainbow Dragon Card.

This Rainbow Color Card (RCC) is the sixteenth card I made for a Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2018 personal challenge. If you want to find out more about it, just follow the link provided. :o)

To make this card I used stamps from a SUPER ADORABLE My Favorite Things 'BB Magical Dragons' stamp set. I LOVE this set so much!!! Dragons are so adorable...

How I made my card...

I stamped an adorable Dragon on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the Dragon, traced edges with black marker and softened him with a stylus ball on a soft working mat.

For a background I used 'Oh My Stars! Mini' ARTplorations stencil. First I stamped the Dragon on a white cardstock paper panel and colored him with black marker. Then I placed the stencil on the panel and spread a white structure paste through the stencil directly on the panel. I left the structure paste dry on air. As the stencil is smaller than the panel, I repeated the process until I achieved enough starry background. :o)

After the panel dried completely, I glued it on a white top folded card base and glued colored Dragon over the black one.

Lastly, I heat embossed a sentiment in white on a black cardstock paper, cut a stripe, glued foam tape on the back of it and placed the sentiment on the card.

Birthday Dragon Card

Hello everyone!! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Birthday Dragon Card.

I made this card for my niece Nika who's 4th birthday is today. Happy Birthday Nika!!!

How I made the card...

I used stamps from My Favorite Things 'BB Magical Dragons' stamp set.

I stamped an adorable small dragon on a watercolor paper and colored her in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the dragon, leaving a thin white border around her. (This dragon is female. :o) )

For a background I used Uniko 'Block Party Birthday' stamp. I inked the stamp with VersaMark Watermark Ink and pressed the stamp on a white cardstock paper panel. Watermark look: LOVE it! :o)

With all parts ready, I assembled the card. I glued the panel on a foam sheet square and glued it on a white top folded card base. I glued another white cardstock paper panel inside the card to make the card sturdier.

Then I glued some foam behind the dragon and placed her on the card. As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with enamel sticker stars. :o)

You Make My Life Magical Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #187)

Hello everyone! :o)

Yesterday a new challenge started over at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

Our theme for this fortnight is #187, benutze Mini-Stempel / use mini stampsTiny stamps... Love them!! :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: You Make My Life Magical Card.

I made this card for my sweetheart. ♥ I prefer making non traditional Valentine's Day Cards for him. :o)

How I made the card...

I used stamps from My Favorite Things 'BB Magical Dragons' stamp set.

I stamped an adorable small dragon on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the dragon, colored the edges with a black marker, softened dragon with a stylus ball and glued him over another dragon I stamped on a white cardstock paper. I fussy cut the dragon again, this time leaving a thin white border around him.

And then the dragon waited for 28 days to be placed on a card. I tried this and that, but nothing was "right".

Yesterday, I finally decided and finished the card.

I heat embossed in white a sentiment on a black cardstock paper, cut out a banner, glued some 3-D foam on it and glued the sentiment on a white top folded card base. I glued 3-D foam on the dragon and placed him to sit on the banner.

As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with two enamel dots. :o)

Card dimensions: 89 mm x 121 mm (3 1/2" x 4 3/4")

List of supplies:
  • My Favorite Things 'BB Magical Dragons' stamp set
  • white cardstock paper
  • black cardstock paper
  • watercolor paper
  • Ranger Archival Ink, Jet Black
  • Tsukineko VersaMark Watermark Stamp Pad
  • WOW! Embossing Powder (Opaque Bright White, Regular, WL01R)
  • Tim's Holtz Distress Inks.
    • Salty Ocean
    • Hickory Smoke
  • Stabilo Fibre Tip Pen (Markers), Black 68/46
  • UHU universal glue
  • foam sheet scraps, 1 mm thick
  • 3-D foam squares, 2 mm thick
  • Create a Smile enamel stickers ('Beach Party', 'Snow Dance')
  • Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer
  • Ranger Heat It Craft Tool
  • acrylic block (102 mm x 102 mm)
  • bone folder
  • scissors
  • Marabu fine rounded paint brush no.#0
  • stylus ball
  • soft working mat
  • crafting needle

You Are Magical Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), shaker, You Are Magical Card.

I made this card for my niece Tea who's 7th birthday is tomorrow.

This shaker card was so easy to create. I used stamps from an ADORABLE Jane's Doodles 'Magical' stamp set. LOVE!!! :o)

I was inspired with colors from a photo below shared on Addicted to Stamps and More blog for the challenge #255 - Photo inspiration. :o)

I stamped a dragon on a thick watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the dragon and colored edges with black marker. As a finishing touch I added white highlights and dots on the dragon and set it aside.

I mixed various sequins to get my own mix. :o)

Then I worked on shaker construction.

I cut a white carstock panel, a bit smaller than a card base, and cut out circle window on it. I stamped a sentiment below the window and glued a piece of acetate on the back of the panel to close the window. I glued foam sheet square with a circle window on it on the back of the panel, filled the window with shaker mix and glued it on the card base.

Lastly, I glued 3-D foams on the dragon and placed it on the card. To make the card sturdier, I glued a white cardstock paper panel inside the card. :o)

    Baby Dragon Easel Calendar

    Hello everyone :-D

Today I am posting my first project as Guest Designer at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

New challenge for this fortnight is #104 Uhren + Kalender / Calendars and Clocks.
Challenge is to make a calendar or a clock, or to use any image in your project that has a calendar or a clock on it.

This time the prize for one lucky winner is this lovely clear stamps set.

Sounds fun, right. Come and play along at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog and show us your lovely projects. There are also beautiful projects made by talented Design Team and other Guest Designers.

For this challenge, I made this Baby Dragon Easel Calendar.

Image I used is Meljen's Designs 'Little Baby Dragon'.

Image on calendar is paper pieced and for this one I needed 7 same images. I printed all images on white card stock paper, colored them with my colored and aquarell pencils, fussy cut images and parts I needed, colored edges with permanent marker and pieced all elements together. I added some transparent glossy varnish to create glossy accents. Here are photos of all layers (sorry for the poor quality of photos; it was very late when I took them).

Here are close up photos of finished image.

Calendar dimensions are 14 cm x 14 cm (5 1/2" x 5 1/2")This is the first time I made easel calendar (well, easel anything) and I used great photo tutorial Kalendarkarte - calendar card from Stempeleinmaleins. I like this a lot. Here is a photo of closed up calendar.

I made monthly calendar using MS Word. After printing, I cut out same sized rectangles and glued them together on top.

    List of supplies:
    • Meljen's Designs 'Little Baby Dragon'
    • Hearts & Circles patterned paper from digital paper collection Baby Boy Patterned Prints
    • Aerofoil free font from DaFont
    • dark blue card stock paper
    • white card stock paper
    • white printer paper (one piece A4 paper, 80 grams)
    • colored pencils (yellow, orange, blue, pink)
    • Koh-i-noor Mondeluz aquarell colored pencils (yellow, orange, blue)
    • white pencil
    • black fine liner 0.5
    • black permanent marker
    • universal glue
    • white water based glue
    • double sided self-adhesive tape
