    Easter Decorations (LMMS Inspiration)

    Hi everyone! :o)

It's Little Miss Muffet Stamps Inspiration Week and I made these Easter Decorations: Sheep Magnet and Easter Basket. :o)

I love my last week's card I made for LMMS challenge #160 and a color scheme, so I decided to make Easter Decorations using same image and in same color scheme.

For the magnet I used an adorable LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Claribella' digital stampI printed the image on a watercolor paper and left it dry couple days to prevent ink smearing. It's enough to leave printed image drying couple hours or through the night. I didn't have time to color it, so it was drying couple days. :o)

I colored the image in watercolor technique using Distress Inks and aquarel colored pencils. After drying, I fussy cut the image, leaving thin white border around it. I traced the image on a magnet sheet, cut it out a bit smaller than the colored image and glued together the magnet and the image.
I pressed the magnet with a 32 cm x 32 cm, 1 cm thick glass plate and left it pressed for an hour. As a finishing touch, I added white highlights to the image.

Approximate Magnet dimensions: 85 mm x 110 mm

    List of supplies magnet:
    • LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Claribella' digital stamp
    • Koh-i-noor pop Aquarel Watercolor Paper, 250 gms
    • Tim Holtz's Distress Inks
      • Hickory Smoke
      • Black Soot
    • Koh-i-noor Hardtmuth Mondeluz aquarel colored pencils 3710
      • Light Green 25
      • Dark Green 26
    • Uniball Signo White
    • magnet sheet
    • UHU universal glue
    • scissors
    • printer
    • Marabu fine rounded paint brush no. #0
    • eraser
    • water
    • paper towels
    • 32 cm x 32 cm x 1 cm glass plate

For the basket I used lovely gingham paper from Lili of the Valley 'Butterfly Kisses' Paper Pad and a white cardstock paper. You can find more details on how to make basket in my old post, here. This one is smaller. I made it from 126 mm x 126 mm square gingham paper.

After I assembled the basket, I attached a handle to it, using brads, so the handle can move. :o)

I decorated the basket with a scalloped border punched stripe, filled the basket with an artificial grass and my basket was finished. It's large enough for a chicken egg. :o)

Lovely crochet hearts in the basket are made by Jane Beljo of Plain Jane. Love them!!! :o)

    List of supplies basket:
    • Lili of the Valley 'Butterfly Kisses' 8x8 Paper Pad (green gingham)
    • white cardstock paper

Easter Blessings Card (LMMS Challenge #160)

    Hi everyone! :o)

It's time for a new challenge at Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog. It's #160, Anything Goes Challenge.

For this challenge I made this CAS (clean and simple), Easter Blessings Card. :o)

For my card I used an adorable LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Claribella' digital stamp. This image and couple of other images will be released to the LMM's store today. :o)

I printed the image on a watercolor paper and left it dry through the night to prevent ink smearing. Next day, I colored the image in watercolor technique using Distress Inks and aquarel colored pencils. After drying, I fussy cut the image, leaving thin white border around it and added white highlights.

I stamped a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Suzi's Easter' stamp set on a piece of gingham paper and glued it on a top folded white card base. I cut a white cardstock paper panel and glued it on the card base.

I glued 1 mm thick foam on the back of the image and placed it on the card.

Lastly, I embellished the card with enamel dots.

    Card dimensions: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

CASEd my Gingham Bunny Cards and made these Two Polka Dot Bunny Cards. These simple cards are perfect to make when you want to send out a lot of cards in short time, like I did. :o)

CAS, one layer cards, super easy and quick to create. I love dimension on my cards, so I paper pieced bunnies.

I stamped a bunny and sentiment in the center of card bases. The bunny is from Clearly Besotted 'Mini Woodland Pals' stamp set and sentiment from Create a Smile 'Eggstraordinary Egghunt' stamp set. I stamped more bunnies, on designer paper and white cardstock paper scrap. I fussy cut parts I needed, colored their edges with black marker and glued pieces together.

At the end I punched corners of both cards with rounded corner paper puncher and my cards were finished. :o)

Easter Egg Bunny Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight + Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2016, #8)

    http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

    Hi everyone! :o)

Yesterday was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Easter Egg Bunny Card.

I used an ADORABLE 'Easter Egg Bunny' digital stamp. I'm not a fan of pink color and I use it rarely, but this bunny screamed for pink. :o)

I printed the image on a white watercolor paper paper and colored it in watercoloring technique using Stabilo Markers. I learned that from a great video tutorial by Julia Altermann, how to watercolor using inexpensive Stabilo pensI used only two colors for coloring (pink and grey).

At this point I changed my mind about the design. The water color paper I use is very thin. It's great for coloring with different mediums, for blending etc. but not good at all for popping-up the image. It's way too thin. So I fussy cut the image and colored it's edges with black pen. Then I printed one more image on a white cardstock paper and fussy cut that image too, but leaving white border. I glued colored image over it. Now the image was thicker and ready for 3D foamies. :o)

I cut a design paper panel slightly smaller than a card base, heat embossed a sentiment from Create a Smile 'Eggstraordinary Egghunt' Stamp Set and glued the panel on the card base. I glued 3D foams on the back of the bunny and placed her on the card, added few highlight with a white pen and my CAS card was finished. :o)

    Card dimensions are 101 mm x 130 mm (4" x 5 1/8").

    List of supplies:

I hope you enjoyed my today's spotlight project. Check out more cute images at the Kitty Bee Designs Etsy StoreKitty Bee Designs Blog and Kitty Bee Designs FB. :o)
