Wedding Card no. #2

Hi everyone and happy Sunday! :o)

Today I want to share with you a Wedding (Anniversary) Card I made by request from friend. The card will be a gift for her friends, a couple who celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary today. Congratulations!!! :o)

I used BEAUTIFUL Stamping Bella 'uptown couple BRETT and BRENDA get married' rubber stamp. This is my second take on this stamp and also a CASE of the first card I made using the stamp (here). I went with same design, but I rotated a layout and went with completely different color scheme. My friend told me how couple was dressed on their wedding day, so I went with that.

I also used one of my favorite font I downloaded from dafontImpact Label Font. Love it!! :o)
Important: Read licences before downloading.

I stamped the image on a watercolor paper, left it dry for couple minutes and colored the image in watercolor technique using Distress Inks.

I glued a note sheet paper stripe directly on a white top folded card base, trimmed the watercolor paper to preferable size, glued it on a 2 mm thick foam sheet rectangle and glued it on the card base.

I printed couple's names and wedding day date on a white cardstock paper (I used two different font sizes), cut them out, traced edges with black marker and got lovely labels, as if I had label maker. I added foam tape on the back of "labels" and glued them on the card.

As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with enamel dots, matching colors with colors used on the image. :o)

I'm very satisfied with my coloring and the whole appearance of the card. My friend loves it!! I hope the couple will like it also. :o)

Card dimensions: 101 mm x 165 mm (4" x 6.5")

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you a Wedding Card I made by request for a couple that's getting married today. I personally don't know them, but I do want to wish them all the best in their common life, a lot of love and understanding, and their marriage to be beautiful as music. :o)

I printed couple's names and wedding day date on a white cardstock paper (I used two different font sizes), cut them out, traced edges with black marker and got lovely labels, as if I had label maker. I added foam tape on the back of "labels", glued them on the card and my card was finished. :o)

Gratitude, Mixed Media Decoration Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Welcome Autumn!!!

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Mixed Media Decoration Card, Gratitude. :o)

First I cut a rectangle cardstock base. This is a recycled item. I cut it out from a watercolor paper pad package. I rarely throw away cardstock and try to reuse it for new projects or as a crafting mat. :o)

I used Note Sheet patterned paper as a background, colored it with different mediums and when I was satisfied with the color, I glued it on the cardstock base and rounded corners.

Then I stamped pumpkins and sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Autumn Blessings' Stamp Set on the card. I did some masking on pumpkins. I colored pumpkins and ground below them with different mediums and added golden highlights with gold pen on pumpkins and around letters. I also drew golden dots all over the card. I'm not a fan of gold color and rarely use it, but it looked so nice in this autumnal color combination. Once I started adding highlights and dots I couldn't stop. :o)

Using stencil and structure paste I made circles. Before adding it on the card, I colored structure paste with different Distress Inks.

I used découpage glue and varnish due crafting process to fix colors and layers.

Butterfly Birthday Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Happy Friday! :o)

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Butterfly Birthday Card.

I made this CAS (clean and simple) birthday card for my sister-in-law. I used my favorite Jane's Doodles stamp set, 'Butterflies' and favorite butterfly from the set. :o)

How I made this card...

I stamped the butterfly on a white cardstock paper and colored it in watercolor technique with Wilted Violet Distress Ink. After drying, I fussy cut the butterfly leaving white border around it. White highlights and the image was finished.

On a white cardstock panel, smaller than a card base, I typed a sentiment on my typewriter. It's on Croatian and it says: Happy birthday. Then I cut out circle window on the panel and glued 3-D foams on the back of the panel.

I glued a note sheet paper on the card base. I colored the note sheet paper with different white mediums, because the paper is yellowish and I didn't like it in this combination. Then I glued the panel on the card base.

Lastly, I glued 3-D foams on the back of the butterfly and glued him in the card window.

Card dimensions: 101 mm x 133 mm (4" x 5 1/4")

List of supplies:
  • Jane's Doodles 'Butterflies' stamp set
  • white cardstock paper
  • Note Sheet pattern paper

Mama volim te (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone :o)

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's DoodlesMy project for today is a card I made for my Mom for Mother's Day. She loves violet color and butterflies, so do I. :o) Inspired with mixed media project I made two months ago, I made this card for her.

I used gorgeous Jane's Doodles stamp set, Butterflies. I love this stamp set so much and I use it a lot! :o)

I used Note Sheet patterned paper as a background/panel, colored it with different inks and when I was satisfied with the color, I stamped butterflies on the panel colored them with different mediums and added white highlights with white pen.

Then I masked butterflies, stamped more butterflies with white chalk ink and splattered panel with white acrylic paint. White splatters were pale, so I used white pen to accent them and I drew some extra dots with it. :o)

I used découpage glue and varnish due crafting process to fix colors.

I wrote a sentiment on computer (MS Word, text box tool). It's on Croatian and says: Mom I Love You.

After printing, I cut out sentiment in to three pieces, drew frames with white pen and glued them on the panel. I glued the panel on a white cardstock base, rounded corners and my card was finished.
