Extra Warm Wishes Card

Hi everyone :-D

My second post today is this Extra Warm Wishes Card I finished this morning.

My inspiration for this one was a beautiful sketch090 with a twist from {heart} sketches by Imke Ludvig. Twist was to use scraps from stash. I rotated sketch and used scraps from my stash to make this card, except for the card base. There was also an inspirational color board, but I didn´t used it.
http://fromtheheartstamps.com/community/2014/12/08/i-heart-card-sketches-w-a-twist-no-90/

Card dimensions are 143 mm x 98 mm (5 5/8" x 3 7/8").

I used From the Heart Stamps 'Birdbrain Winter Scarf' digital stamp. Super cute stamp that comes with 4 sentiments. :-D

I colored the image with aquarell and colored pencils and added some transparent varnish to eyelids and beak, to accent them, because the image is monochromatic and it didn´t look quite good without varnish. Here are some close up photos.

A list of supplies used to make this card:
  • From the Heart Stamps 'Birdbrain Winter Scarf'
  • scraps from Crafters Companion Bebunni Christmas 6" x 6" Designer Paper Pad
  • white card stock paper (card base)
  • dark blue card stock paper
  • white paper 160 grams
  • blue colored pencil
  • white pencil
  • Koh-i-noor Mondeluz aquarell colored pencils (light and dark blue)
  • Koh-i-noor universal white pencil for writing on gloss surfaces
  • black fine liner 0.5
  • pencil
  • eraser
  • double sided strong adhesive tape
  • transparent varnish with extra gloss
  • printer
  • scoring board
  • trimmer
  • scissors
  • ruler
  • crafting needle

I am entering my card into the following challenges:
