Whimsical Wishes Card

Hello everyone :-D

Yesterday I spent most of the day playing with my very first and brand new Paper Smooches stamps. Fun!!! :-D Today I want to share with you a Whimsical Wishes Card I made using them.

Making this card, I was inspired with gorgeous card from 1001 cartes by Francine Vuillème. You can see her gorgeous card here.

First I stamped this cute gnome from Paper Smooches 'Forest Whimsy' stamp set, colored him with colored and aquarell pencils, fussy cut him and colored edges with black fine liner.
Using blending tool, I colored white paper with Mustard Seed Distressed Ink (I love this yellow) and splattered it with water. This is the first time I did this when coloring with distressed ink and I love it! :-D
I added dimensional foam behind gnome and placed him onto a card.
At the end I stamped sentiment and flowers from Paper Smooches 'Forest Whimsy' stamp set onto colored layer.

Card dimensions are 105 mm x 148 mm (4 1/8" x 5 7/8").

List of supplies:
  • Paper Smooches 'Forest Whimsy'
  • white cardstock paper
  • white paper 160 grams
  • colored pencils (skin color, pink, light and dark grey)
  • white pencil
  • Koh-i-noor Mondeluz aquarell colored pencils (yellow 3, purple 13)

  3. Everyone loves Paper Smooches stamps! They are so darn fun! I have this dwarf and just adore him and I'm loving your design with him, Milka! (If you remember next Christmas, I think he also makes the best Santa when you color him in red and put a little white cotton ball on the top of his cap!) Thank you so much for joining in my NBUS Challenge #3! Have a great weekend!! Hugs, Darnell
