Today I have some exciting news to share with you: I was nominated for a Liebster Award by Jas of All that´s Jas! Thank you so much, Jas! :-D This was a pleasant surprise. I am very honored! :-D
As a newbie blogger, I have never heard about the Liebster award, until now. I red information in Jas´s post and searched on the Internet for more. Among all information provided on the Internet, I found very helpful and detailed post by Lorraine Reguly of Wording Well. Here are some interesting information, as well as the official rules of the Liebster Award I used from Lorraine´s post.
This award exists only on the Internet. It is given to bloggers by other bloggers.
Award has German origins. The word "liebster" has several definitions: dearest, sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kind, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing, welcome, sweetheart.
This award follows similar principles as a chain letter, in a sense it should be passed forward to a certain number of people.
The choice lies within each of us to accept the award and continue forwarding it.
You are not obligated to accept the award and can stop the chain.
Over the time, variations have been made to the "rules".
The Official Rules of the Liebster Award
If you have been nominated for the Liebster Award and you choose to accept it, write a blog post about the Liebster Award, following few simple rules.

8) Inform the people/blogs that you nominated that they have been nominated for the Liebster Award and provide a link for them to your post so that they can learn about it.
If you will use information provided above (italic text) in your own blog post,
please be kind and link back to the original post, not mine.
Thank you.
Jas asked me these questions:
1) What made you decide to start a blog?
In December 2013 I started to share my creations on the Internet publicly. I started my public FB page, Crafty Milka, and YouTube channel. Last summer I started to join challenges. I did that through FB, but that was not practical at all. As I started to play more and more, FB was not a solution at all. It took me ages to link up everything! Also, FB is acting weird when your posts have a lot of written text.
Playing, I met a lot of crafty people who had their own blogs. It was so difficult to follow all that without blog. My computer and mail suffered a lot! My computer´s bookmark bar started to look like junkyard. I couldn´t find anything or it took me ages to find it. Such a waste of time!
I also wanted to create my crafty place on the Internet, something like a web page, but with minimum costs.
Starting my own blog was reasonable solution and a good one! :-D

7) Fun fact about your project/recipe that went wrong.
When I make muffins I like to experiment with filling. Once I made chocolate cream and filled muffins with it. While baking, all muffins exploded and all cream poured out. There was a lot of cleaning. :-D
8) Where would you love to live?
I don´t have favorite place to live. For me, the most important are people and vibration of the place where I live.
9) What is your favorite color?

Crafty Milka
This is such a fun way to learn about fellow blogger! We have few things in common, among them cooking, dishwashing, and ironing (must be the Balkan in us, lol). My aunt lived in Celje when I was little and I spent 6 months there after a devastating earthquake in my hometown (Banja Luka). Since then i have forgotten how to speak Slovenian. :)
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud at your answer to #7. Your cards are darling, your style consistent, which I admire. I am always all over the place, lol. So nice to "meet" you Milka. Hugs!
:-D Yes, it must be the Balkan in us. LOL :-D Another thing in common, my both parent´s home town is Banja Luka. Love that town!!! ;-)
