Summer Night Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #170)

Hi everyone! :o)

It's time for a new challenge over at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

Our theme for this fortnight is #170, Sommer in blau + eine Farbe / Summer in Blue + one more color.

This time our lucky winner will win this lovely stars stencil.

I went with blue + black color combo and made this CAS (clean and simple), Summer Night Card.

My card is a CASE of my own card that I made last year, Summer Card. I went with same design, layout and summery theme. Differences are color schemes, CASEd card presents sunset and today's card night. :o)

I used handmade circle stencil to create Blue Moon. I blended Distress Inks directly on a white top folded card base through the stencil. When I was satisfied with the color, I removed the stencil and stamped a sentiment from Create a Smile 'Sending Sunshine' kit on the card base.

Then I colored in black wooden sailboat using Ranger's Archival Ink, Jet Black, dried it with Heat It Tool and glued it on the card.

I could finish my card at this point, but it was a bit boring. I stamped two size stars from Mama Elephant stamp sets (see list of supplies), one outlined and one solid shape star. I colored outlined stars with a black marker and made them solid and my card was finished. Super easy and fast to create. :o)

Card dimensions: 95 mm x 126 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

List of supplies:

I hope you'll like my project for this fortnight and get inspired. Stop by the Fairy Tale Challenge Blog and see gorgeous creations my Design Team Mates made for this challenge. Do join us, we can't wait to see your projects. :o)
