DeLIGHTful Birthday Card (RCC #12)

Hello everyone! :o)

My second post today. If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here. I've announced a winner of my birthday giveaway.

Today I want to share with you this DeLIGHTful Birthday Card.

I made this card for my friend who's birthday is next month. She is a Physics teacher and a great Physicist. :o)

I wanted to make her something Physics themed and stamps from a super fun Your Next Stamp 'Perfect Chemistry' stamp set were just right. I used a funny professor, who likes just like famous Physicist Albert Einstein, and went with Physic's theme: White Light Refraction.

Going through glass prism, white light refracts. A beam of white light splits into its component wavelengths, those that form the rainbow.

If you want to find a bit more about refraction and rainbow, just follow these links:

How I made my card...

I stamped the professor on a watercolor paper and colored him with Distress Inks in a watercolor technique. After drying, I fussy cut him, traced edges with black marker and softened him with a stylus ball on a soft working mat.

Then I stamped a sentiment on a white cardstock paper panel and the professor one more time. I colored the professor with a black marker and glued the panel on a white top folded card base.

Lastly, I glued the colored professor on the card over the black one and my card was finished. :o)

Thanks for visiting my blog. About the Bunnies: YES, i cute out 2 identical and sewed them together with my sewing machine. I left it underneath and sewed it up after filling. They are big enough for 3 Kinder Schoko Bons and one flat easter choclate.
