This is a thirteenth type of IC I made for my challenge. I made 15 different types of interactive cards during Pisces period, which was my personal challenge. I completed my challenge, achieved my goals and had a lot of fun. I wrote a short review about the challenge here.
It's taking me much longer than I planed to share all my IC cards with you. I will give my best to share rest of two by the end of this month.
How I made this card...
To make this card I used gorgeous feather die cut I got from a dear friend crafter, Alice of Scrap & C. Thank you so much, Alice!!! ♥
For a card base I used a white cardstock paper cut to 11 1/4" x 5". I scored the paper at 1 7/8", 3 3/4", 7 1/2" and 9 3/8" on the longer side and folded paper along scored lines. I got a card base measured 3 3/4" x 5".
With the card base ready, I die cut a feather on both gate flaps. I glued an acetate piece behind each gate opening, but just on one half.
I die cut 4 more feathers from a white cardstock paper scraps and glued two together (stacking die cuts). Then I glued stacked feathers into gate openings (die cut inlay technique).
Lastly I created a super simple belt that will keep the card closed. I cut a vellum paper to a desirable size, wrapped the vellum belt around the card (not too tight), removed it and glued two endings together to form a belt. I placed the belt on the card to keep it closed and my card was finished. :o)
