Thanks a Latte Card (CASology Week #355)

Hi everyone! :o)

It's time for a new challenge at CASology. This fortnight's cue word is Appreciate. :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), Thanks a Latte Card. :o)

Design defined:
An image above a sentiment makes a classic CAS design.

How I made my card....

To make my card I used a coffee cup and a sentiment stamps from Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set and an oak tree leave stamp from Gerda Steiner Designs 'Happy Fall' stamp set.

I stamped the coffee cup and the sentiment directly on a white top folded card base. I colored the cup with a grey marker.

Then I stamped another coffee cup on a watercolor paper. I masked part of the cup and a plate and stamped the oak leaves on the cup. I removed the mask and drew a line in the "inside" part of the cup with a black fine liner.

I watercolored the coffee cup with distress inks. After drying, I fussy cut the cup and traced edges with a black marker. I softened the image using a stylus ball on a soft working mat. I did this to curl the image a bit and to achieve a bit of dimension that way.

Lastly, I glued the watercolored coffee cup on the card base over the grey cup and my card was finished. :o)
