Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone! :o)

Welcome to a Jane's Doodles Release Blog HopToday we are featuring two new stamp sets released into the store. :o)
Super cute spring icons and gorgeous tulips... Love love LOVE!!!!! :o)

For today I prepared two cards using stamps from the 'Spring Icons' stamp set. :o)

My first card today is this Bee Spring Card. :o)

I stamped a sentiment and four bees directly on a white top folded card base. I drew flying paths with a pencil and then traced them with a black fine liner (0.5). I decided to stamp one more bee on the back of the card base, to make additional interest to the card. :o)

I erased pencil marks and colored bees' bodies with a grey marker. I coated their wings with a transparent varnish and left the card base aside to let the varnish dry completely.

I stamped five more bees on a watercolor paper and colored their bodies in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut bees, traced edges with a black marker, glued them over grey colored bees on the card base (paper piecing) and my card was finished. :o)

My second card is this CAS (clean and simple), Bunny Spring Card. :o)

I stamped a sentiment and a bunny directly on a white top folded card base. I colored the buny with a grey marker and left the card base aside.

I stamped another bunny on a watercolor paper, colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks, fussy cut the bunny, traced edges with the black marker and glued the bunny over the grey bunny.

As a finishing touch, I drew details on a carrot using a black fine liner (0.2) and my card was finished. :o)

I love how my cards turned out. :o)
