Rainbow Umbrella Card (Jane's Doodles DT May Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

My second and last post today. If you missed the first one just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

This weekend I'm sharing my Jane's Doodles spotlight projects that I made in March, April and May, but I didn't share them here on my blog yet. On Thursday I shared full list of projects that I'll be sharing (here). Today I'm sharing two cards, my May spotlights. :o)

Second one today is CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Rainbow Umbrella Card. It was my spotlight project for Jane's Doodles on this Thursday, May 14th, 2020. :o)

To make this card I used stamps from two Jane's Doodles stamp sets: an umbrella from 'Spring Icons' and a sentiment form 'Rain or Shine' stamp set.

How I made my card....

I stamped the umbrella and the sentiment directly on a white top folded card base.

I colored an umbrella's handle and a spring with a grey colored pencil. I colored a canopy with Distress Inks and a Wink of Stella Clear Brush. I pressed each ink pad on an acrylic block, picked up colors, one by one, with the Wink of Stella Brush and colored parts of the canopy in rainbow colors.

As a finishing touch I drew white highlights with a white pigment ink pen and my card was finished. :o)

Cards measurements: 89 mm x 121 m(3 1/2" x 4 3/4")
