Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone! :o)

Welcome to a Jane's Doodles Release Blog HopToday we are featuring two new stamp sets released into the store. :o)

Both are so pretty... Love love LOVE!!!!! :o)

And here is what I prepared for today: CAS (clean and simple), Love begins at Home card using stamps from the 'Home' stamp set. :o)

How I made my card....

I stamped a house on a watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique, using aquarelle colored pencils, a paintbrush and water. After coloring and drying, I highlighted shades with colored pencils. Then I fussy cut the house and traced edges with a black marker.

I stamped another house on a white cardstock paper scrap, fussy cut it, leaving a thin white border around it, colored the house with a grey marker and glued the watercolored house over it. I did this because watercolor paper I use is thin and I needed thicker image.

Then I worked on a card base. I stamped a sentiment on a white cardstock paper panel. I wanted dimension on my card, so I stacked together three white paper panels and glued them on a white top folded card base. I glued another panel inside the card to make the card sturdier.

Lastly I glued 3-D foam squares on the back of the house and glued it on the card base. As a finishing touch, I drew white highlights on the house using a white pigment ink pen and my card was finished. :o)

I love how my card turned out. :o)

At the bottom of this post you can find card measurements and detailed supply lists for my today's card. Link to this post will be in a right sidebar until the Blog Hop ends. :o)
