Voodoo Doll Monochrome Card (LMMS Inspiration)

Hi everyone! :o)

It's Little Miss Muffet Stamps Inspiration Week and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Voodoo Doll Monochrome Card. :o)

For this card I used cute LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Voodoo Misschief' digital stamp. There are more Voodoo characters in LMMS shop and you can find them all here. Just perfect for Halloween cards. :o)

I also used two fonts I downloaded from dafont, 1942 Report Font and Impact Label Font. Love these two!! :o)
Important: Read licences before downloading.

How I made this card...

I made a layout on my computer (the image and word 'happy') and printed it out on a white cardstock base. I watercolored the ground and dried it with a heat tool.

I printed one more image on a watercolor paper and colored him with Distress Inks in watercolor technique. After I was finished with coloring, I fussy cut him out, colored edges with black marker and glued him on the card base, over the printed image (paper piecing).

Then I printed word 'Halloween' on a white cardstock paper scrap, cut it out, colored edges with black marker and got lovely label, as if I had label maker. Awesome!! I love label maker font and was planing to buy label maker, but with this font and printer, that's really unnecessary. :o)

I also love typewriting machine font, i.e. 1942 Report Font, which I used for word 'happy'. I do have typewriting machine and did tried it before I made the layout, but it's small and it was not pleasant to my eye when I was planning the layout, so I decided to go with the digital font. I use typewriting machine to make labels for my craft supplies. Love it so much!!! :o)

I glued 3-D foam on the label and placed it on the card.

Firstly, heart of the voodoo doll was colored in red. After I assembled the card, I didn't like it at all. I tried to cover red with black marker and I made it worse. I went with more paper piecing. I printed one more image on the watercolor paper and fussy cut the heart out. Then I colored the heart and stitches with Distress Inks in watercolor technique, dried it, colored edges with black marker and glued it on the image. Better. :o)

Lastly, I glued two black enamel stickers on the card and covered eyes (buttons) and heart with gloss resin to create glossy accents and my card was finished. :o)
