And here is my take on the challenge: Rainbow Science Notebook. :o)
To make this notebook I used stamps from two Your Next Stamp stamp sets: 'Perfect Chemistry' and 'Periodically Nerdy'. LOVE!!!! :o)
I made this notebook for myself. I went with Physics theme, same as did on a card that I made last year (here). :o)
I used a super funny professor, who likes just like famous Physicist Albert Einstein, and went with Physic's theme: White Light Refraction.
Going through glass prism, white light refracts. A beam of white light splits into its component wavelengths, those that form the rainbow.

How I made this notebook...
I bound a notebook, using white printing paper, white cardstock covers, rainbow selection of patterned papers, embroidery thread and needle. I used Coptic Stitch for binding. I learned the particular stitch from a great YouTube tutorial by Sea Lemon: How to Make a Sketchbook/DIY Coptic Stitch Bookbinding Tutorial. Check out her channel, she has awesome bookbinding tutorials. :o)
I selected letters from Periodic Table of Elements which form word 'Notebook', stamped them on various patterned papers, fussy cut letters, traced edges with a black marker and glued them directly on the notebook front cover. I also used element 'Mg' which stands for my initials. :o)
I stamped the professor on a watercolor paper and colored him in a watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut him, traced edges with black marker and softened him with a stylus ball on a soft working mat.
Then I stamped the professor on a white cardstock paper, fussy cut him, colored with a grey marker, traced edges with the black marker and glued watercolored professor over him. I did this to make the image thicker, to pop out on the cover. I wanted to use 3-D foam for the professor, so I stamped him once again directly on the cover and colored him with the black marker. I did this to create extra shade under the image. But I didn't like it, so I glued watercolored professor over him and my notebook was finished. :o)
