Wedding Card no. #4

Today I want to share with you a Wedding Card I made for a couple that got married last Saturday. I made it by a request for my partner's acquaintance. I personally don't know any of them, but I do want to wish them all the best in their common life, a lot of love and understanding. :o)

I used BEAUTIFUL Stamping Bella 'uptown couple BRETT and BRENDA get married' rubber stamp. This is my fourth take on this stamp. If you like, you can find my previous cards using this image here, here and here.

How I made this card...

I wrote couple's names and wedding date on my computer in MS Word (font: Palace Script) and printed it on a white cardstock paper panel. I trimmed the panel to a desirable size and stamped the image on it.

Then I stamped another image on a watercolor paper, left it dry for couple minutes and colored the image in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. 

I messed up a bride's hand while coloring (black color leaked on her fingers), so I stamped part of the image (the bride's hand and a bouquet of roses) on the watercolor paper and watercolored it with Distress Inks. For green parts I used Stabilo Fibre Tip Pens.

Then I colored the image stamped on the panel, mostly in grey and just tiny parts in green.

After coloring and drying, I fussy cut parts of images I needed, traced edges with a black Stabilo Pen and softened all parts on a soft working mat using a stylus ball. Parts curled a bit.

I glued all parts on their place. This gave a bit of dimension to the image. :o)

Lastly, I glued the panel on a white top folded card base and the card was finished. I love how it turned out. :o)
