It's the little things... Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

This is my 1100th blog post!! :o)

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this one layer, It's the little things... Card. :o)

My card is a CASE (copy and share everything) of my own card that I created four years ago (here). Everything same, I just rotated the layout. :o)

To make this card I used two GORGEOUS Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'Lily' and 'You Got This'. :o)

How I made my card....

For a card base I used Canson XL Mixed Media Paper. stamped a sentiment in the center of the card with a black ink. The sentiment impression wasn't so good so I fixed it by tracing letters with a black fine liner.

Then I heat embossed in white lilies directly on the card base, creating a lilies frame. I also did some masking, because I didn't want lilies to overlap. I used masks I had from some previous projects. I store masks in a pouch with a stamp set.

Next up was coloring. I watercolored the card front with Distress Inks Mustard Seed and Fossilized Amber. I dried the card with a Heat It Tool and splattered it with same Distress Inks mixed with a bit of water.

As a finishing touch, I coated lilies and the sentiment with a glossy Wink of Stella and my card was finished. :o)

Love the shimmer!! :o)
