And here is what I prepared for today: Blue Merry Christmas Card. :o)
How I made this Card...
For my card I used stamps from all three stamp sets: snowflakes from 'Snowflakes' stamp set, a sweater from 'Hygge Time' stamp set and a sentiment from 'Wild Winter' stamp set.
As my stamps didn't arrive on time, Jane sent me digital stamps to work with them and prepare something for the hop.
First I created a snowflakes patterned paper on my laptop, using Microsoft Word and Paint. I printed the paper A4 size and cut it to a desirable size panel. I saved the rest of the patterned paper for future projects.
I wrapped the patterned paper panel with a vellum paper and glued it on a white top folded card base.
Then I printed the sweater image twice, one in white and second in blue color. I fussy cut the blue sweater and added more color to it. I ink blended entire sweater with a Distress Ink Blueprint Sketch and colored details with a white gel pen and various blue fine liners.
When I was satisfied with the sweater color, I glued the colored sweater over the white one and fussy cut it, leaving white thin border around it.
Then I worked on sentiment, but I didn't like it and change it after my stamps arrived. First version was printed in blue, but it looked weird. I heat embossed the sentiment 'Merry Christmas' in white on a black cardstock paper and cut it to a desirable stripe.
Lastly, I assembled my card. I glued 3-D foams on the back of the image and the sentiment stripe and glued them on the card. As a finishing touch, I embellished my card with blue enamel dots.
I love creating Christmas cards in non traditional Christmas colors and LOVE how this one turned out. :o)
At the bottom of this post you can find detailed supply lists of my today's card. Link to this post will be in a right sidebar until the Blog Hop ends. :o)
