12 Days of Christmas - Day 7 - Sretni Blagdani no. 2 Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Welcome to 7th Day of my 12 Days of Christmas Series.

Today I want to share with you this Sretni blagdani no. 2 Card. It was my spotlight project for Jane's Doodles on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020. I didn't share it here on my blog earlier because I wanted to share it in series I planned prior Christmas, but that also didn't work as I planned (I wrote about it here), so I'm sharing it in these series. :o)

To make this card, I CASEd (copied and shared everything) my own card that I shared yesterday here on my blog (here). I went with same design, layout, color scheme, used same techniques and same sentiment, I just went with different stamped images. :o)

Sretni blagdani is a Croatian sentiment and it means Happy Holidays. :o)

For my card I used stamps from several Jane's Doodles stamp sets:

How I made my card....

First I created a background panel. I randomly stamped presents on a Kraft paper panel in watermark stamping technique using VersaMark Watermark Ink.

Then I splattered the panel with a white tempera color mixed with a bit of water and left the panel to dry on air.

After drying, I glued the panel on a white side folded card base.

Next up was the sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a black cardstock paper, cut the sentiment to a desirable size stripe, glued 3-D foam squares on the back of the sentiment stripe and glued it on the card and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements: 121 mm x 89 mm (4 3/4" x 3 1/2")

List of supplies:

Tomorrow I'll skip sharing for my 12 Days of Christmas Series, because there will be a Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop. Be sure to check what my Design Team mates and I created for the hop and to see SUPER CUTE new stamp sets from Jane. I'll continue sharing my series on Saturday. :o)

Thank you for stopping by and your kind feedback. Enjoy and smile! :o)

B&W Birthday Balloons Card (LMMS Challenge #165)

Hi everyone! :o)

I hope you're all great and having a great week. It's been quiet couple days here on my blog. I had to take a short break from blogging, to enjoy last week of this school year, spend some quality time with my friends and in my garden, as well to work on my DT and GDT projects. :o)

School year ended yesterday here in Croatia, as well as my Math & Physics Teacher contract for school year 2016/2017. It was a wonderful time and I hope I'll have luck to return back in September. Tomorrow my summer job starts. I hope it will be a lovely summer. :o)

Today a new challenge starts at Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog. Like always, it's #165, Anything Goes Challenge.

For this challenge I made this monochrome, Black & White, Birthday Balloons Card. :o)

For my card I used LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Celebrate Balloons' rubber stamp, that is now available as digital image. This is the 7th card I made using the 'Celebrate Balloons' rubber stamp, my most used and my FAVORITE rubber stamp. :o) You can find my previous cards using this stamp here, here, here, here, here and here. :o)

I went with simple design and same layout as on my previous cards using this stamp, but this time I wanted something less cute and colorful. Inspired with Tim's Burton work, Neil's Gaiman Sandman and Black & White photographs (which are my favorite photographs), I went with B&W effect on my card.

I stamped the image on a watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique using Distress Ink Black Soot. My first idea was to color only the image, but as I was coloring, I decided to watercolor whole background with same color. When I was satisfied with colors, I covered the image with paper towel scraps and splattered the panel with Distress Ink Black Soot. I dried the panel, glued it on a top folded white card base, highlighted highlights on balloons and highlighted stars with a white gel pen and my card was finished.

I'm very satisfied with my coloring and monochrome look I achieved using only one color. There will be more B&W colored projects from me in future, I'm sure. :o)

Card dimensions: 85 mm x 126 mm (3 3/8" x 5")

List of supplies:
  • LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Celebrate Balloons' rubber stamp (now available in digital format)
  • white cardstock paper (card base)

Happy Holidays Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #62 Mid Inspiration)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Happy Friday everyone! :o)

Today I'm posting a mid-inspiration project for ongoing Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #62 - Christmas.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Oddball Art Co, with an awesome prize for our random winner: some digital images of winner's choice.

For this challenge I made a Happy Holidays Card, using our sponsor's lovely image Kawaii Bear on Stack of Presents.

Image is paper pieced. I printed image and sentiment on a white cardstock paper. I printed 5 more images on designer papers and one on a scrap of white watercoloring paper. I fussy cut pieces I needed, colored edges with black marker/pen and glued all pieces together. After I glued panels on a card base, I colored dots and ribbons on the image with white pen and my card was finished. :o)

Card dimensions are 107 mm x 149 mm (4 1/4" x 5 7/8").
