Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Summer Card II.
I CASEd my Summer Card I made two weeks ago. CAS design, same color scheme, same sentiment and motifs on both cards, just this time, I went with one layer card, I rotated the layout, used stamps from different artist and didn't use embellishment. You can find CASEd card here.
How I made this card...
I made a circle stencil and use it to create Sun. I blended Distress Inks directly on a card base through stencil.
When I was satisfied with my sunset color, I removed the stencil and stamped sailboat from 'Ahoy!' stamp set on the card base. I colored the ship in black to get ship silhouette.
At the end I stamped a sentiment on the card. I did some masking on sentiments I used. The word 'sending' is from 'Simon' stamp set and word 'sunshine' from 'Rain or Shine' stamp set.
