Hi everyone! :o)
Today a new challenge starts at Little Miss Muffet Stamps Challenge Blog. It's #168, Anything Goes Challenge.
For this challenge I made this CAS (clean and simple), masculine, monochrome, Blue Birthday Clown with Balloons Card.
I made this card for Goran, my partner, who's birthday will be this Saturday. Although he loves orange color, I went with blue color on this card to match a comic book I got him as a present. :o)
For my card I used LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Polka Dot Pals Lark' digital stamp and LMM's Forgotten Scraps 'Celebrate Balloons' digital stamp.
This is the 8th card I made using the 'Celebrate Balloons' image. You can find my previous cards using this stamp here, here, here, here, here, here and here. It's also the 2nd card I made using the 'PDP Lark' digital image. You can find a first card using Lark here. :o)
I created a layout on my computer, printed it out on a watercolor paper panel and left it aside for couple days. I colored the clown and balloons in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I fussy cut the image, traced edges with black marker, glued the image on a white cardstock paper piece and fussy cut the image again, this time leaving thick white border around the image. Using a white gel pen, I drew lines on the clown's shirt to create plaid shirt. I love wearing plaid pattern!!! :o)
I wanted some dimension on this card, as I'm not going to mail it. :o) I cut a white square cardstock paper panel, glued it on a foam sheet square and glued it on a white square top folded card base. Then I glued 3-D foams on the image and glued it on the card. As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with blue enamel dots. :o)
