How I made my card...
I blended Distress Ink colors on a white cardstock paper panel, following a rainbow pattern, and die cut some pretty butterflies. I used butterfly's inserts for my yesterday's card (find it here) and butterfly outlines for today's card. :o)
I die cut two bold butterflies from the white cardstock paper and glued colored butterflies on them (I glued only middle parts and left wings unglued).
Then I dry embossed a white cardstock paper panel with the butterfly die. I don't have embossing plate, so I used soft working mat. It works great.
This was my first try of dry embossing with die technique and I'm very satisfied with it. I learned how to from Jennifer McGuire's video: Embossing with Dies.
As I have only one butterfly die, I repeated the embossing process until I embossed whole panel surface. During the repeating process, my embossed surface flattened a bit, but I didn't mind. Soft texture: perfect for CAS card. :o)
I glued a white cardstock paper panel inside and the embossed panel outside of a white top folded card base and glued butterflies on the card. I went with same layout as on my yesterday's card.
As a finishing touch, I coated butterflies with Clear Wink of Stella and curled their wings a bit to add a bit of dimension. :o)
