Hi everyone! :o)
Today I'm bringing DAY 12 of the 13 Days of Halloween series with this Spooky Night Card. :o)
To make this card I was inspired with a GORGEOUS Halloween card made by Yainea of My Paper Journey. Amazing color combination!!! Thank you for the inspiration Yainea!!! ♥
To make my card I used stamps from a Jane's Doodles 'Haunted House' stamp set and a circle die cut from Sizzix Big Shot starter kit.
First I made masks. I die cut a circle from a post-it paper for the Moon mask. Then I stamped a tree on the post-it paper and fussy cut it.
Then I stamped the tree on a white cardstock paper panel. I masked the tree and glued the circle where I wanted the Moon to be.
Next up was ink blending. I ink blended the panel with Distress Inks (full supply list below). I splattered the panel with a water and dried the panel with a heating tool. I ink blended the panel again, splattered it and dried it. I ink blended it again until I was satisfied with the color. :o)
After I ink blended the panel, I removed masks and ink blended the tree and the Moon with a Distress Ink Black Soot. I pressed just a bit to get light shades.
When I was satisfied with colors, I stamped in black three bats on the panel.
I wanted to use a black cardstock card base for this card, but I didn't have any black cardstock large enough to make the card base from it, so I used a white cardstock paper. I folded a top folded card base and ink blended sides of the front with the Distress Ink Black Soot. I did this to hide white edges of the card base, as the panel didn't look well on it. After drying, I glued the panel on the card base and my card was finished. :o)
