Green Kite Card (CASology Week #365 mid-inspiration)

Hi everyone! :o)

Last Tuesday, March 31st, 2020, a new challenge started at CASology. This fortnight's cue word is Kite. :o)

I took some time and skipped three challenges, but I finally managed to create something for this challenge. Due to some unexpected work-from-home situation and deadlines I had to meet, I didn't have the time to prepare my post on time, so I'm bringing it today as mid-inspiration. There is still plenty time to join the challenge, which ends on Monday, April 13th, 2020, 9 AM, CDT (UTC -6).

And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), masculine, Green Kite Card. :o)

Design defined:
Paper piecing works well with CAS cards.

How I made my card....

This card was so easy and fun to create.

For my card I used stamps from Paper Smooches ' ' stamp set and Lawn Fawn patterned paper.

I stamped a kite and a sentiment in black directly on a white top folded card base. I drew kite's thread with a fine liner and stamped bows in black along the line. I colored the kite and bows with a black marker. I also stamped background clouds in grey.

Then I stamped the kite and bows on the patterned paper, fussy cut all pieces and traced edges with the black marker.

I glued all pieces on the card base over the black colored parts and my card was finished. :o)

I love how my card turned out. :o)

Card measurements:  mm x  m

List of supplies:

  • white cardstock paper
  • Sakura quickie glue pen
  • Fiskars High Precision Personal Paper Trimmer
  • bone folder

hope you'll like my card for this challenge and get inspired. For more inspiration, check out  cards my Design Teammates and our Guest Designer created. Do join us in this challenge, we are looking forward to see your CAS creations. :o)
