Yellow Fish Card

Hi everyone :-D

Today I want to share with you this Yellow Fish Card.

I CASEd my Yellow Pisces Card that I made last week. I used same layout sketch, colors, image, materials and embellishments on my both cards, but there are visible differences between them. :-D

Card layout for my both cards was a beautiful sketch Your Next Stamp, designed by Julie Elak. I really like this one! Last time I rotated the sketch, but this time I followed it.

I used scraps of 4 different blue cardstock papers I had in my stash for some time. I draw curvy shapes on cardstock scraps with pencil, cut them out and glued them together, creating Ombré Effect. I glued finished panel on a white card base.

Like last time, I used a super cute 'Keep Swimming' digital stamp (freebie) from The Alley Way Stamps (TAWS). This time I paper pieced image.
I printed three fish on white cardstock paper, colored pieces I needed in watercoloring technique using only one color (Tim Holtz´s Distressed Ink Mustard Seed), water and brush, fussy cut all pieces, colored edges with black permanent pen and glued all pieces together.
Here is a photo of all pieces.

This time I didn´t leave white border around image while fussy cutting. I also rotated fish´s eye to change it a bit. :-D

I added some transparent varnish to create glossy accents and after it dried,  I added dimensional foam behind fish and placed it on the blue Ombré Effect panel.

At the end, I embellished card with homemade blue faux enamel dots. I learned how to make faux enamel dots from video tutorial by ScrapTips on YouTube. First I made glue dots with a glue gun on a backing paper and colored them with Marabu glass Dark Ultramarine color. I left them dry one day. After drying, I glued them on card with Pritt universal glue.

Card dimensions are 105 mm x 145 mm (4 1/8" x 5 6/8").

Monster Wishes Card

Hi everyone :-D

There is currently a Guest Designer Call for March at Gerda Steiner Designs, and I decided to apply.

http://gerdasteinerdesigns.com/new-page-5/

I created several cards for this GDT call. I will post all in next couple of days. The first one is CAS (Clean and simple), Monster Wishes Card.

I used only one monster from Gerda Steiner Designs 'Three Monsters' digital stamps. They are all super cute!!! :-D
http://gerdasteinerdesigns.com/all-digital-stamps/three-monster-digital-stamps

I printed the monster on a scrap of white cardstock paper, colored it in watercoloring technique using only one color (Tim Holtz´s Distressed Ink Mustard Seed), water and brush. Then I fussy cut him, colored edges with superfine black permanent pen and added some transparent varnish on eyes, eyelids and teeth, to create glossy accents.

While varnish was drying, I printed a sentiment on a white card base I wrote on my computer, using beautiful 'Fontmoochers' free font from Kevin & Amanda Free Scrapbook Fonts.

I love dimension on my cards. I added dimensional foam behind the Monster and placed him on the card.

At the end, I embellished card with homemade black faux enamel dots. I learned how to make faux enamel dots from video tutorial by ScrapTips on YouTube. First I made glue dots with a glue gun on a backing paper and colored them with Staedtler permanent black pen. After drying, I glued them on card with Pritt universal glue.

Card dimensions are 95 mm x 139 mm (3 3/4" x 5 1/2").

Have a Monster Birthday Card

Hi everyone :-D

Today I made this Have a Monster Birthday Card.

To make this card I was inspired by two beautiful cards from two very talented ladies. First card is from 1001 cartes by Francine Vuillème and you can see her gorgeous card here. The second one is from The Card Grotto by Michelle Short. You can see her card here and here, on Create a Smile blog.

I used super cute and fun 'Monster' digital stamp (freebie) and  'Monster Sentiment' digital stamp (freebie). from Create a Smile. I used these two before this month, and if you like you can see my other card here.

Image is paper pieced.
I printed two 'Monster' images on a white cardstock paper and colored the pieces in watercoloring technique using only one color (Tim Holtz´s Distressed Ink Mustard Seed), water and brush. I colored Monster´s dots with black permanent pen and covered them with thick layer of transparent glossy varnish.
Then I fussy cut all parts, colored edges with black permanent pens and glued two pieces together. I also added googly eyes onto the Monster, to make him even more funny. :-D

Then I printed the sentiment on the white card base. I colored word 'Birthday' and vowels also in watercoloring technique, like images, and created Ombré Effect.

I cut out four small squares (from a black and yellow cardstock paper and vellum paper) and glued them on the card base.
