With Gratitude Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #151)

Hi everyone! :o)

On Tuesday, September 13th, a new challenge started at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog. I haven't played our challenges for the whole summer. With my summer job and all other stuff that were going on in my life, I had to take a shorter break from our challenges. I'm a bit late with posting my project for the current one, but there's still enough time for you to join. :o)

Our theme for this fortnight is #151, Blätter fallen / Falling leaves.

This time our lucky winner will win this beautiful die-cut.

For this challenge I made this CAS (clean and simple), With Gratitude Card.

For this cards I used Jane's Doodles 'Autumn Blessings' stamp set.

For my card layout I used sketch from Task for Two Tuesday Challenge. I like this sketch a lot and is perfect for CAS cards.

My first intention was to create one layer card. I masked a card base with micropore tape, leaving stripe uncovered, just as shown on the sketch. Then I blended Distress Inks directly on the card base, sprayed and splattered distressed part with water and dried it with heat tool. I repeated blending and splattering process three times.

When I was satisfied with color, I randomly stamped leaves on the colored part. After I removed micropore tape, my blended stripe was not straight. I didn't want to throw it away, so I cut it out, straight this time. :o)

 I glued the stripe on a black cardstock paper and glued it on a new card base.

I stamped the sentiment on the card base, added couple of black enamel dots and my card was finished. :o)
