You're awesome Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), You're awesome Card.

For this card I used fabulous Jane's Doodles stamp set, 'Cactus', which is a new stamp set in the store. Succulents and cactus are my favorite plants, so you can imagine how much I LOVE the set. :o)

How I made this card...

When I received the stamp set, first I stamped all images on paper scraps and fussy cut them out. I made these to use them as a help to arrange scenes and as masks. I store these with stamp set. :o)

I stamped the scene on a watercolor paper panel using pre-made masks. Then I colored the scene in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. When the image was dry, I stamped sand pattern over the colored sand to make it look more interesting. This stamp is from another company stamp set (detailed supply list below).

When I was satisfied with the image, I stamped a sentiment on the panel.

I used thin watercolor paper, so I glued it on a white cardstock paper to make it thicker. I always do this when I'm using watercolor paper and 3-D foams on my project. :o)

Next up was card assembling. I glued a black cardstock stripe on a top folded white cardstock card base, glued 3-D foams on the back of the panel and glued it on the card base. Couple of sequins and my card was finished. :o)
