To Bee or Not To Bee Blog Hop

Hello everyone!!! :o)

Welcome to a special annual blog hop supporting bees, 3rd To Bee Or Not To Bee Blog Hop. :o)

I've invited some of my crafty friends whom I admire greatly to hop along with me, and I have some amazing sponsors lined up with gifts to give away to You! :o)

Aim of the hop is to celebrate 2nd World Bee Day, to support bees and bees protectionto raise public awareness of the importance of bees and beekeeping and benefits of using apicultural products for our health.

Bees and other pollinators are very important for ensuring food quality, as well as preserving the entire ecosystem and natural biodiversity. Bees provide a wide range of benefits to humans from pollination of food crops and apicultural products.

Honey, pollen, propolis, royal jelly, venom and beeswax are very valuable apicultural products with wide range of benefits for human health. Find out more: UN FAO, Bee products: providing nutrition and generating income - Honeybees, beekeeping and bee products in our daily lives.

Find out more about World Bee Day, key milestones in the proclamation of World Bee Day, interesting facts about bees, pollinators, apiculture, what each individual can do for bees etc. in a World Bee Day Organization's Interactive brochure about World Bee Day and
Brochure Why bees matters - Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations.

For today's hop I've created this CAS (clean and simple), Happy Bee Day Card. :o)

For my card I used adorable Purple Onion Designs, Stacey Yacula Studio 'Bee Mine' stamp. For the sentiment I used Uniko 'Bee Happy' clear stamp set, released last year. I received the set form Bev, the owner of Uniko, to use it in 2018 year's blog hop. Thank you!!

I went with paper piecing technique on my card. I stamped the sentiment and bees on a white cardsotck paper panel. I colored bees with a grey marker. I stamped bees three more times on a watercolor paper, colored parts I needed in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut pieces I needed, traced edges with black maker and softened pieces a bit with a stylus ball.

Here is a photo of all parts I needed for paper piecing. :o)

Lastly, I glued the panel on a black top folded card base and glued each piece on it's place, directly on the card. :o)

Card measurements: 96 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

I've lots of friends that have farms and have put forth great action against pesticide use so bees con have healthy, safe places to live and gather nectar all the while, pollinating. 1. Thank you. :o)
When paper piecing, I color image (or part of it) with grey or black marker. I do that to all image parts that will be covered, ie. another image (or part of it) will be glued over it.
I also trace edges with black marker.
I do that to hide any white space, if I don't perfectly glue piece over another piece or I curl an image a bit (using a stylus ball).
I hope this makes sense. :o)

      81. Did you know that the World Bee Day is celebrated at the initiative of Slovenia. Date is the birthday of Anton Janša, the pioneer of beekeeping.

Love this blog hope. You made fantastic card.

      83. Your card is adorable! I'm so glad that you are having this blog hop. I'm positive that Unpasteurized honey has changed my life. I used to work with a lady who raised bees. She brought me in some of the honey to taste and I was hooked. I started using 1 to 2 teaspoons a day in my tea. After 2 months, I began to see the real health benefits. I was taking off my high blood pressure pills and no longer require them. As well, my doctor couldn't believe my cholesterol results. The bad cholesterol was almost completely gone after I started using the unpasteurized honey. We have lots of plants in our yard now to help them pollinate.

      84. The bees don't need a fancy card.
The clean and simple card is darling.
There was a large bumblebee swarming
around me yesterday when I was
cleaning up the yard waste cans.
Good to see some of them around.
        thanks for sharing
