To make this card I went with same design as on the card I created for latest Jane's Doodles blog hop (here).
I used stamps from Jane's Doodles 'Wild' stamp set. Love it!! :o)
I stamped a lion on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique, using Distress Ink s. After coloring and drying, I fussy cut the lion, traced edges with a black marker and softened the lion using a stylus ball on a soft working mat. This curled the image a bit.
I stamped another lion on a white cardstock paper scrap, fussy cut him, leaving a thin white border around him, colored him with a grey marker and glued the watercolored lion over him. I did this because watercolor paper I use is thick and I needed thicker image.
Then I worked on a frame. First I die cut two Polaroid frames from the white cardstock paper and then cut the bottom part of each to get a nice rectangle frame. I ink blended one frame with Distress Inks and mini ink blending tools.
I glued together two frames, forming an interesting shape, and then glued the frame on a white top folded card base.
Then I die cut a speech bubble from a black cardstock paper and heat embossed a sentiment in white on it.
I glued 3-D foam squares on the image and speech bubble and glued them on the card and my card was finished. :o)
