Happiness, Mixed Media Decoration Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone :o)

On Thursday, March 24th, was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Mixed Media Decoration Card, Happiness. :o)

I cut a rectangle cardstock base. This is a recycled item. I cut it out from s watercolor paper pad package. I rarely throw away cardstock and try to reuse it for new projects or as a crafting mat. :o)

I colored the base with white acrylic paint.

I used Note Sheet patterned paper as a background, colored it with different mediums and when I was satisfied with the color, I glued it on the cardstock base and rounded corners.

I stamped two butterflies from Jane's Doodles 'Butterflies' Stamp Set on the card, colored them with different mediums and added white highlights with white pen.

Using stencils and structure paste I made white circles. After drying, I used same stencils and white pen and drew bubbles. Love bubbles!!! :o)

I stamped a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Doodle Flowers' Stamp Set on a scrap of white cardstock paper, drew messy black border and colored edges with black fine permanent pen, colored it and splattered with distress ink and glued it on the card.

I used découpage glue and varnish due crafting process to fix colors.
