You Color the World Card

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I'll be sharing four cards with you, all in separate posts through the day. All my posts are scheduled and will go live every full odd hour, from 3 PM to 9 PM. :o)

First for today is this You Color the World Card.

To make this card, I used a lovely paint brush image from Jane's Doodles 'Funny Bunny' stamp set and The Alley Way Stamps (TAWS) 'From Us' stamp set for a sentiment.

I stamped 7 paint brushes on a watercolor paper panel and watercolored them using Distress Inks. Then I worked on Rainbow colors, also using Distress Inks.

After drying, I loosely watercolored a background with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke mixed with a lot of water.

Next up was the sentiment. I cut stamps from the TAWS set to create my own sentiment, stamped it in the center of the panel and glued the panel on a white top folded card base.

As a finishing touch, I coated colors on brush tips and colors with a Clear Wink of Stella. Shimmery!! :o)

Rainbow Color Birthday Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight) + Birthday Giveaway

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Rainbow Color Birthday Card.

To make this card, I used a lovely paint brush image from 'Funny Bunny' stamp set and my favorite birthday sentiment (love that font) from 'Belated Birthday' stamp set.

I stamped the paint brush on a watercolor paper, watercolored it with Distress Inks, fussy cut it, leaving thin border around the brush and added white highlights with a white gel pen.

I cut a panel from watercolor paper and stamped the sentiment on the panel. To make stamping easier, I cut the stamp into three pieces and separated words. Then I colored a rainbow drip with a lot of water and Distress Inks, dried it with Heat It Tool and glued the panel on a top folded white card base.

I glued a foam tape on the back of the paint brush and glued it on the card. As a finishing touch, I coated the rainbow drip and color on the brush tip with a Clear Wink of Stella. Shimmery!!! :o)
