Hi everyone! :o)
To make this notebook I used stamps from four beautiful Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'Pumpkin Spice', 'Homemade', 'Read All About It' and 'Bear Hugs'.
Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Lovin' from my Oven Recipe Notebook. :o)
To make this notebook I used stamps from four beautiful Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'Pumpkin Spice', 'Homemade', 'Read All About It' and 'Bear Hugs'.
With some masking and stamping, as well as some doodling, I created a kitchen scene on a Canson XL Mixed Media Paper panel. I also stamped a sentiment on the panel. Then I colored images in watercolor technique using only one Distress Ink Color: Ground Espresso.
After drying, I drew white highlights and dots, created patterns and highlighted the sentiment and my cover was finished. :o)
I bound a notebook, using white printing paper, covers, sewing thread and needle. I used Coptic Stitch for binding. I learned the particular stitch from a great YouTube tutorial by Sea Lemon: How to Make a Sketchbook/DIY Coptic Stitch Bookbinding Tutorial. Check out her channel, she has awesome bookbinding tutorials. :o)
I love how my recipe notebook turned out. :o)

Very hard choice, as I like them both, monochrome and rainbow. It depends on the image and occasion. On this particular project I went with monochrome to achieve Vintage look. When coloring in monochrome I like to use only one color, as I did on this project. :o)
