    Jane's Doodles Spotlight Blog Hop

    Happy Friday!! :o)

Welcome to a Jane's Doodles Spotlight Blog HopToday we are featuring three new stamp sets released into the store, all Easter/Spring Themed. Cute chicks, bunnies, eggs, bunny costumes, sentiments... SUPER CUTE!!!! :o)

    Here is what I made...

First I made a CAS (clean and simple), EGG-CELENT Card, using my favorite image from this release: legged egg from the 'Funny Bunny' stamp set. It makes me super happy and I laugh when I see it. LOVE!!! :o)

    How I made my card...
I stamped an egg directly on a top folded card base and colored it with a black marker. With some masking, I stamped the sentiment on the card base. I used part of a sentiment from the 'Funny Bunny' stamp set and other part (you're) from a 'Coffee Time' stamp set.
Then I stamped one more egg on a watercolor paper, watercolored it with Distress Ink Hickory Smoke, fussy cut it, traced edges with black marker, softened it with stylus ball on a soft working mat and glued it over the "black" egg on the card base.

Next up is a CAS (clean and simple), Happy Spring Card. Look at this super happy chick. It so cute!!! :o)

    How I made my card...
I went with same design as with my first card.
I stamped a chick and sentiment from the 'Funny Bunny' stamp set directly on a top folded card base and colored the chick with a black marker.
Then I stamped one more chick on the watercolor paper, watercolored it with Distress Inks, fussy cut it, traced edges with black marker, softened it with stylus ball on a soft working mat and glued it over the "black" chick on the card base.
To add more interest to my card, I stamped two tiny hearts from a 'Simon' stamp set directly on the card base and colored them with red fine liner.
As a finishing touch, I coated chick's beak and hearts with a Clear Wink of Stella.

Third project I made is this decoration, Easter Basket. I love tiny decorations, as well making them. :o)

How I made my decoration basket...
First I made a basket. I made it from a yellow gingham paper, 12,6 cm x 12,6 cm. After I assembled the basket, I glued white handle on it and scalloped border. It looks like lace and I love it. :o) You can find more details on how to make basket in my old post, here.
Next up were eggs. I stamped 22 eggs from the 'Funny Bunny' stamp set and colored them in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I colored them in pairs, so two same patterned/colored eggs. After drying, I fussy cut eggs, traced edges with black marker and glued two same eggs together. Once again I traced edges with black marker and eggs were finished.
I filled the basket with some kind of artificial grass, arranged eggs in the basket and glued them on the artificial grass with hot glue.

Fourth project I made are these decorations, Chocolate Bunnies. First bunny is "standing" decoration and second a magnet.:o)

    How I made my decorations...
I stamped bunnies from the 'Suzi's Easter' stamp set on the watercolor paper and colored them in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut bunnies and traced edges with black marker. I stamped two more bunnies on a white cardstock paper, fussy cut them out, traced edges with black marker and glued colored bunnies over them.
Lastly, I glued folded acetate on the back of the first bunny and a magnet mounted on foam on the back of the other, covered tiny hearts with the Clear Wink of Stella and my super simple decorations were finished.

Last for today is this CAS (clean and simple), Hoppy Easter Card.

    How I made my card...
I stamped a boy in bunny costume from the 'Funny Bunny' stamp set on the watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut him, traced edges with black marker, glued him on a 2 mm thick foam and fussy cut him again. I stamped a sentiment form the same set on a top folded card base and glued the image on the card.

These would be all I prepared for today. As you can see, I didn't use the third stamp set, 'He is Risen'. I got carried away with all those bunnies and eggs. :o)

At the bottom of this post you can find card measurements and list of the supplies. Link to this post will be in a right sidebar (Featured Post), until Blog Hop ends. :o)

Trick or Treat Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

      Hi everyone :-D

Today it's my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles.

I made CAS (clean and simple), Trick or Treat Card.

I used adorable Jane's Doodles 'Winnie Halloween' stamp set.

I stamped images on a white cardstock paper scrap. I did this in masking technique.

I colored stamped image in watercoloring technique, using Distress Inks, water and fine brush.

After drying, I fussy cut the image and colored edges with black marker. I covered spider and pumpkins's tops with gloss resin to pop up that parts and to create glossy accents.

Then I stamped spider with Vintage Photo Distress Ink on a brown textured paper stripe. I glued the stamped stripe on a card base, added 3-D foams behind white panel and glued it on the card base, cut out two banners, stamped sentiment on one banner and glued both on the white panel. Then I added 3-D foams behind pumpkins image, placed the image on the card and glued three Skittles on the card.

      Card dimensions are 107 mm x 139 mm (4 1/4" x 5 1/2").

      List of supplies:

Science Note Holder (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #54 Mid Inspiration)

      http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

      Hi everyone :-D

Today I'm posting my mid-inspiration project for ongoing Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #54 - School.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Bugaboo Digi Stamps, with an awesome prize for our random winner: 7 digital images of winner's choice.
      http://www.bugaboostamps.com/

For this challenge I made a magnetic Science Note Holder, using our sponsor's lovely image 'Bugaboo Brat School - Ruler Boy'.

Image is paper pieced and it has three layers.

I printed two images on a white 120 grams paper. I colored the skin (face, neck and hands) with colored pencils and and blended colors using dry paper stump. The rest of the image (hair, clothes and shoes) I colored in watercoloroing technique using Distress Inks fine paint brush and water.
TIP: When watercoloring image printed on printer, try to avoid black lines to prevent printer ink smearing.

After drying, I fussy cut images and colored edges with black pen.
TIP: When fussy cutting, first cut away large pieces of paper and then cut on the lines. Rotate paper, it will be much easier to cut around tiny details. Color edges of fussy cut image with black pen or marker. This way you'll hide white edges and any white space you didn't cut off and your paper pieced image will look much better.

Then I printed the third image on a white cardstock paper and glued fussy cut parts over it. Again, I fussy cut whole image, leaving white border, because I wanted to create a pocket on my project.

I made simple note holder from the cardstock paper, glued digital design paper panel on it, created pocket with the fussy cut image, decorated it with printed sentiment, enamel arrows and paper clip. At the end I glued 6 magnets on the back of the note holder.

Note Holder dimensions are 103 mm x 167 mm.

      List of supplies:
