B&W Birthday Sheep Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #102)

Happy Friday! :o)

Today a new Aloha Friday Challenge starts at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #102 - Birthday.

We have two sponsors for this challenge: Oddball Art Co. and Drawn With Character, so there will be double prizes! :o)

 

And here's my take on the challenge: Black & White Birthday Sheep Card.

For my card I used Oddball Art Co. 'Big Eye Zombie Sheep' digital image.

I printed the sheep on a watercolor paper panel and left it aside for couple days. I colored the sheep in watercolor technique using Distress Ink Black Soot. After drying, I stamped a sentiment on the panel, glued the panel on a white top folded card base and my card was finished. :o)

Dimensions: 88 mm x 120 mm (3 1/2" x 4 3/4")

Blue Snail Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #66 Mid Inspiration + Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2016, #9)

Hi everyone! :o)

My second post today is my mid-inspiration project for ongoing Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs. I'm soooo late with posting, again! I'm so very tired from the weather here. Too much rain! Anyhow, there is four more days to the end of our challenge and I hope to see your wonderful creations there. :o)

The challenge for this fortnight is #66 - In the Garden.

We have two sponsors for this challenge: Oddball Art Co and Crafts and Me , so there will be double prizes! :o)

For this challenge I made a CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Blue Snail Card, using our sponsor's Oddball Art Co lovely digital image Skylar & Friends 'Signs of Spring'.

I printed a snail on a watercolor paper and colored it in watercoloring technique using Stabilo Markers. I learned that from a great video tutorial by Julia Altermann, how to watercolor using inexpensive Stabilo pens.

I fussy cut the image and colored it's edges with black pen. Then I printed one more image on a white cardstock paper and fussy cut that image too, but leaving white border. I glued colored image over it. Now the image was thicker. I added white highlights, glued 3D foams on the back and placed the snail on a card base.

Then I glued a wood chip speech bubble on the card, glued enamel stickers in a shape of flower and my card was finished. I love CAS cards! :o) 

Card dimensions are 88 mm x 120 mm (3 1/2" x 4 3/4").

Happy Holidays Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #62 Mid Inspiration)

Happy Friday everyone! :o)

Today I'm posting a mid-inspiration project for ongoing Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #62 - Christmas.

Our sponsor for this challenge is Oddball Art Co, with an awesome prize for our random winner: some digital images of winner's choice.

For this challenge I made a Happy Holidays Card, using our sponsor's lovely image Kawaii Bear on Stack of Presents.

Image is paper pieced. I printed image and sentiment on a white cardstock paper. I printed 5 more images on designer papers and one on a scrap of white watercoloring paper. I fussy cut pieces I needed, colored edges with black marker/pen and glued all pieces together. After I glued panels on a card base, I colored dots and ribbons on the image with white pen and my card was finished. :o)

Card dimensions are 107 mm x 149 mm (4 1/4" x 5 7/8").
