Hoppy Easter Card (RCC #14)

Hello everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Hoppy Easter Card. :o)

My card is a CASE of my own card that I made last year (find it here). I went with same design, layout, used same stamps, just colored an egg differently, this time following a Rainbow pattern. :o)

For my card I used stamps from a super cute Jane's Doodles 'Funny Bunny' stamp set.

How I made my card...

I stamped a boy in a bunny costume on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I stamped one more image on a white cardstock paper and colored it with black marker. After drying, I fussy cut both images, traced edges with black marker and glued them together. I did this to make the image thicker, as the watercolor paper I use it thin.

I stamped a sentiment form the same set on a white top folded card base, glued some foam on the back of the image and placed it on the card.

As a finishing touch, I drew white highlights. :o)

Easter Egg Bunny Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Easter Egg Bunny Card. :o)

To make this card I was inspired with a card I made last year (find it here). I went with same image, same background and same techniques, but there are several differences: card shape, color scheme, this card has no sentiment and embellishments.

I used an ADORABLE Kitty Bee Designs 'Easter Egg Bunny' digital image. This is the 5th card I made using this bunny. Find previous four herehere and here and here. :o)

How I made my card...

I have a pile of unfinished projects and printed digital images. Today's bunny was in the pile, printed on a watercolor paper and partly colored in watercolor technique. I finished coloring the bunny in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the bunny, traced edges with black marker and softened the bunny with a stylus ball on a soft working mat.

The watercolor paper I use is too thin, so I printed one more bunny on a white cardstock paper, colored the bunny with black marker, fussy cut it leaving white border around the bunny and glued colored bunny over the black one (paper piecing). Thicker. :o)

For a background I used Ester eggs stamps from a Jane's Doodles 'Suzi's Easter' stamp set and dots stamp from a Create a Smile 'Eggstraordinary Egghunt' stamp set. I randomly stamped eggs and dots on the white watercolor paper panel with Distress Ink Iced Spruce.

With all pieces ready, I assembled the card. I glued the panel on a foam square and glued it on a square white top folded card base. I glued another white cardstock paper panel inside the card. I glued 3-D foam squares on the bunny and glued it on the card. And then a nightmare of every crafter happened. I pressed the bunny on the card and some liquid glue between two bunny images leaked out and smeared bunny's ears. I didn't want to start all over again, instead I tried to repair the damage.

I left the glue dry and then I removed the glue with an eraser. I pressed gently on the surface and moved eraser in circle motion over the leaked glue. Eraser has to be extra clean! I fixed the smear  with Clear Wink of Stella and coated whole image with it.

Shinny and successful repair. :o)

Hippity Hoppety Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #92)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Happy Friday! :o)

Today a new Aloha Friday Challenge starts at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #92 - Easter.

We have two sponsors for this challenge: Paper Nest Dolls and Drawn with Character, so there will be double prizes! :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: Hippity Hoppety Card. :o)

I used an ADORABLE Kitty Bee Designs 'Easter Egg Bunny' digital image. This is the 4th card I made using this bunny. Find previous three herehere and here. :o)

I printed bunch of bunnies on a thin white watercolored paper last month to have them by hand, because I knew I want to make bunch of cards using this cutie. :o)

I colored the bunny in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the bunny and traced edges with black marker.

I wanted the bunny to pop up on my card, but it was too thin, so I printed one more bunny on a white cardstock paper, colored the bunny with black marker, fussy cut it leaving white border around the bunny and glued colored bunny over the black one (paper piecing). Thicker.

I like how it turned out. :o)

For a sentiment I used funny sentiment from the Create a Smile stamp set. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a black cardstock paper and trimmed it to a preferable size.

With all pieces ready, I assembled the card. I glued the panel on a white top folded card base, glued 3-D foam squares on the bunny and the sentiment and glued them on the card. As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with blue sequins. :o)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Mini Rainbow Easter Egg Card.

To make this mini card, I used an ADORABLE 'Funny Bunny' stamp setAll Jane's Doodles Easter themed stamp sets are 30% off at the moment. :o)

With a bit of masking, I stamped an egg and a bucket on a watercolor paper panel.

I cut sentiment stamps 'Hoppy Easter' and 'Happy Spring' from the set and divided words. Then I stamped a "new" sentiment on the panel.

I colored my little funny scene with Distress Inks in watercolor technique. After drying, I glued the panel on a square top folded mini card base and added highlights with a white gel pen.

As a finishing touch, I coated the egg and a leaking paint with a Clear Wink of Stella. :o)

Easter Bunny Card II (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Easter Bunny Card II.

For my card I used an ADORABLE 'Easter Egg Bunny' digital stamp. This is the 3rd card I made using this bunny. Find previous two here and here. :o)

I printed bunch of bunnies on a thin white watercolored paper last month to have them by hand, because I knew I want to make bunch of cards using this cutie. :o)

I colored the bunny in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I added some extra shades with colored pencils, fussy cut the bunny and traced edges with black marker.

Here is a photo where you can see the difference between colored edges on the image (on the right) and uncolored edges (on the left). Huge, right!?! :o)

I glued the bunny on a 2 mm thick foam sheet and fussy cut it again.

Then I stamped a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Funny Bunny' stamp set on a white top folded card base.

Using MS scalloped paper puncher, I punched two white cardstock paper stripes, glued 1 mm thick foam tape on both and glued them on top and bottom of the card.

Lastly, I glued the bunny on the card, traced the sentiment and coated the egg and some parts of the bunny with Clear Wink of Stella, and my card was finished. :o)
