Birthday Wishes Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

My second post today. If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Birthday Wishes Card:o)

My card is a CASE (copy and share everything) of my own card I made last year (find it here). I went with same design, layout, used same techniques, stamps and dies, except color scheme. On my today's card I wanted to create an Ombré Effect with hearts. I like it very much, I'll surely make more cards like this with different colors. :o)

For my card I used a sentiment stamp from a Jane's Doodles 'Birthday Wishes' stamp set and hearts die cuts form Jane's Doodles 'Stinks' dies set.

How I made my card...

On this card (like on the original) I went with a die cut inlay technique. I love puzzles and this technique is super fun to me. :o) You can find amazing video tutorials and awesome ideas on this technique on Jennifer's McGuire blog (here and here)

I die cut hearts in a white cardstock paper panel and stamped a sentiment in black on the panel. I kept white die cut hearts for some future projects.

Then I blended various blue tone Distress Ink colors on a white cardstock paper piece and die cut hearts in it.

I glued the panel on a same size white top folded card base, inserted die cut hearts into openings and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements: 83 mm x 114 mm (3 1/4" x 4 1/2")

List of supplies:

Butterflies in Mandala Circle Card

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Butterflies in Mandala Card I made for my mom who's birthday is today. :o)

♥ HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!

To make this card, I used a GORGEOUS Create a Smile 'Mandala' cling stamp and Sizzix butterfly thinlits die.

heat embossed in white the Mandala on a white watercolor paper. I colored the Mandala in watercolor technique using two Distress Inks, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean, and a lot of water. When I was satisfied with color, I dried the paper and cut it into a circle shape. I cut another same size circle from a white cardstock paper and two larger circles. I glued together two larger circles to create a card base.

Then I die cut butterflies in the panel and bunch of butterflies from the white cardstock paper.

With all pieces ready, I started assembling my card. First I glued the watercolored panel on the same size white cardstock circle. Then I glued butterflies. I combined die cut inlay and die cut stacking techniques. When I glued all pieces together, I glued the panel on the card base and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements: d = 105 mm (4 1/8")

I Love Math Challenge #10

Hello everyone and welcome to a new I Love Math Challenge!

I'm experiencing some internet connection issues these days and was unable to finish my post neither to publish it yesterday, when our challenge should have been started. Well, now it's here. :o)

This is the tenth challenge. If you're new to my blog, you can find all about the challenge here.

A theme for this challenge is picked by our lovely Kaja: SUMMER with LINE(S) and/or STRIPES.

"A line is a straight one-dimensional figure having no thickness and extending infinitely in both directions. A line is sometimes called a straight line or, more archaically, a right line (Casey 1893)."
Source: Wolfram Math World (http://mathworld.wolfram.com/Line.html)

A stripe is "long, narrow band or stripe differing in color or texture from the surface on either side of it."
Source: English Oxford Living Dictionaries (https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/stripe)

And now inspiration from the team...

Here is Kaja's take on the challenge.

Super cuteness overload!!! Beautiful and bright full design, super cute scene... ♥ I love Kaja's challenge theme, the card she created and how she incorporated the challenge theme into her summer themed card: stripes in the background. Jump over to Kaja's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

Here is Neha's take on the challenge.

GORGEOUS!!! Beautiful design, modern look... ♥ I love Neha's card and how she incorporated the challenge theme into her CAS card: black, bold stripes and origami pigeons. Brilliant!!! And look at that GORGEOUS painting.  Jump over to Neha's blog and find more details about her card. :o)

And here is my take on the challenge: Rainbow Striped Ice-Scones Card.

I decided to go with stripes and used gorgeous rainbow striped patterned paper form Lawn Fawn 'Really Rainbow' petite paper pack.

I went with a die cut inlay technique. I love puzzles and this technique is super fun to me. :o)

Also, I finally used a gorgeous ice-scone die cut from Create a Smile 'Sending Sunshine' kit. Not bad for a first time use. :o)

I die cut the ice-scone several times from a white cardstock paper. Then I die cut ice-scones in a rainbow striped patterned paper panel.

I glued the panel on a white top folded card base and glued die cuts into openings.

As a finishing touch, I coated ice-scones with Clear Wink of Stella. :o)

Card dimensions: 102 mm x 146 mm  (4" x 5 3/4")

Shimmery Rainbow Butterfly Card (RCC #10)

Happy Friday! :o)

Today I want to share with you this Shimmery Rainbow Butterfly Card.

This Rainbow Color Card (RCC) is the tenth card I made for a Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2018 personal challenge. If you want to find out more about it, just follow the link provided. :o)

How I made my card...

On this card I went with a die cut inlay technique. As I mentioned in my yesterday's blog post, I love puzzles and this technique is super fun to me. :o)

I die cut a beautiful butterfly in a white cardstock paper panel. I kept the butterfly outline for this project and threw away tiny white parts.

Then I blended Distress Inks on a white cardstock paper piece, following a rainbow pattern and die cut another butterfly in it. I kept tiny pieces for this project and threw away butterfly outline (I didn't like it).

I glued the panel on a square white top folded card base and inserted white butterfly outline into opening and then small colored pieces into wings' openings.

As a finishing touch, I coated colored parts with Clear Wink of Stella. :o)
