Franken Bun Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Franken Bun Card. :o)

I used an adorable "spooky" image 'Franken Bun' from Halloween 2014 Release . :o)

This is my second card I made using this cutie. You can find the first one here (2015). :o)

How I made my card....

I printed the bunny on a Kraft cardstock paper and left the image aside for an hour.

I colored the bunny with colored pencils, trimmed the panel on a desirable size, stamped a sentiment on the panel and glued the panel on a Kraft top folded square card base.

As a finishing touch, I added white highlights with white gel pen. :o)

Rainbow Numerals Birthday Card III (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Yesterday was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Rainbow Numerals Birthday Card III:o)

I made this card for my niece Tea, who's 8th birthday is today.  Happy birthday sweet little girl!!

I CASEd (copy and share everything) my own card I created earlier this year (find it here). I went with CASE because I really like the design of the original and because Tea likes rainbow colors and numbers (and Math). :o)

For my card I used stamps from two Jane's Doodles stamp sets: numerals from 'ABC's' stamp set and sentiment from 'Belated Birthday' stamp set.
:

How I made this card...

I arranged numeral stamps on an acrylic ruler (I don't have long acrylic block) and inked them with VersaMark Watermark Ink. Then I inked each numeral with different Distress Ink, directly over the Watermark Ink, following a Rainbow pattern. I pressed inked numerals directly on a white cardstock paper panel. After drying, I glued the panel on a white side folded card base.

Next up was a sentiment. I heat embossed the sentiment in white on a black cardstock paper stripe, placed some foam on the back of the stripe and glued the sentiment on the card.

As a finishing touch I embellished the card with enamel dots. :o)

Card measurements: 89 mm x 133 m(3.5" x 5.25")

Striped 40th Birthday Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #174)

Hi everyone! :o)

It's time for a new challenge over at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

Our theme for this fortnight is #174, Zahlen / Numbers. Use numbers on your handmade projects.

This time our lucky winner will win this lovely embossing folder.

And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), Striped 40th Birthday Card.

I made this card for my partner's brother who's 40th birthday was yesterday.

To make this card I tried an awesome Jennifer's McGuire Masked Stripe Inlay technique. What an awesome technique and a great way to use paper scraps. I love the result!! :o)

To make striped panel, I used 4 various blue colored cardstock paper scraps, cut them to various size stripes and glued them as shown and described on Jennifer's blog. Check her blog post and video for more details and how to make striped panel. :o)

When I glued all stripes, I trimmed the panel and heat embossed in white number 40 on it. I used numbers form Happy Little Stampers 'Big Bold Numbers' stamp set.

Lastly, I glued the panel on a white top folded square card base and my card was finished.

Card dimensions: 102 mm x 102 mm (4" x 4")

List of supplies:
  • Happy Little Stampers 'Big Bold Numbers' stamp set
  • white cardstock paper
  • blue cardstock paper scraps (4 colors)

Panda Birthday Girl Card II (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #98)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Happy Friday! :o)

Today a new Aloha Friday Challenge starts at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #98 - Girly Cards.

We have two sponsors for this challenge: Fred She Said Designs and Sweet Escape Digis, so there will be double prizes! :o)

And here's my take on the challenge: Panda Birthday Girl Card II.

I made this card for my landlords' daughter who's 9th birthday is today. She loved last year's card I gave her (find card here), so I decided to go with panda this year too. I went with same color scheme (pink+black+white), CAS design, different panda image and different layout. For the layout I decided to CASE my own card (find card here).

I used super cute 'Panda Love' from 2013 January Panda Releases. These Pandas are melting my heart. Love them all!! :o)

I printed the Panda on a white cardstock paper, stamped circles around Panda's eyes and colored them with black pen, as well as Panda's muzzle. Super fast and simple coloring. I fussy cut Panda and traced edges with black marker.

I stamped a bow on a piece of designer paper, fussy cut it, traced edges with black marker and glued it on Panda's head.

Then I colored chipboard speech bubble with Black Soot Distress Ink and edges with black marker. I left it dry on air couple of hours. After drying, I heat embossed in white number 9 on the chipboard.

I cut out two banners, one from designer paper and other from black cardstock paper.

Lastly, I assembled all pieces together. I glued some foam on banners and Panda and glued them on a white top folded card base. I glued the chipboard speech bubble directly on the card base. As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with pink enamel dots. :o)

Dimensions: 95 mm x 127 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

List of supplies:

I hope you'll like my card for the challenge and get inspired. For more inspiration, stop by the Kitty Bee Designs blog and check out lovely projects my Design Team mates created. And don't forget to join us in this challenge. We are looking forward to see your projects. :o)
