Reindeer Games Mini Circle Card Set

Hello everyone! :o)

Today I'm sharing last cards from my Winter 2017 collection (I've shared couple through this week). This is my second post today. If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

Final cards I made at the end of the year 2017 were these four mini cards: Reindeer Games Mini Circle Card Set. :o)

I went with same scene layout like on my 4th card from Reindeer Games Card Series.

For my card I used a SUPER CUTE reindeer from Mama Elephant 'Reindeer Games' stamp set, sentiment from  Your Next Stamp 'Christmas Critters' stamp set and snowflake from Jane's Doodles 'Driving Home For Christmas' stamp set.

die cut four wonky stitched circles in a Kraft paper and heat embossed in white a sentiment on each  circle. Then I stamped reindeer above each sentiment and colored them in black. Then I heat embossed in white cute snowflakes.

I die cut four more circles in a white cardstock paper, glued each with one Kraft paper circle on top and got card bases.

Images are paper pieced. I stamped reindeer on a watercolor paper, colored them in watercolor technique with Distress Inks, fussy cut, colored edges with black marker and softened them with stylus ball on a soft working mat (this gives a bit of dimension to an image). I glued watercolored reindeer over black reindeer.

As a finishing touch, I drew white dots around reindeer to create snowy scene and my cards were finished. :o)

CAS Plant Birthday Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS Plant Birthday Card.

I made this card for a principal of the school I work at, who's birthday was this weekend.

I used stamps from two beautiful Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'Plants' and 'CAKE!'. :o)

I stamped a plant image on a watercolor paper and colored the plant in watercolor technique using Distress Ink. After drying, I fussy cut the image leaving white thin border around it.

Then I stamped a sentiment on a white cardstock paper panel (I did some masking on the sentiment), glued the panel on a foam sheet square and glued it on a top folded card base. I also glued another panel inside the card to make it sturdier.

I love dimension on my cards, so I glued foam on the image too and glued it above the sentiment. Lastly, I embellished the card with violet sequins. :o)

Card dimensions: 89 mm x 89 mm (3.5" x 3.5")

List of supplies:

I Love Math Challenge #5

Hello everyone and welcome to a new I Love Math Challenge!

This is the fifth challenge and it's also 1st birthday of the challenge!! :o) If you're new to my blog, you can find all about the challenge here.

Before I continue with a new challenge theme, I have a pleasure to introduce you to 1st I Love Math Challenge Designer CollaboratorNeha Bhatt.

Neha is amazing artist from India, owner of Periwinkle Creations.

Neha and I are in the same Design Team at Jane's Doodles. Her creations are so inspiring. Neha supports this challenge from it's beginning with her amazing creations and ideas. I was overwhelmed when she accepted my invitation to join I Love Math Challenge as a Designer Collaborator.

Please jump over to Neha's blog and give her a warm welcome. :o)

And now to our challenge theme...

This time the theme is picked by NehaVenn Diagram. Love it!!! :o)

Venn Diagram is a diagram representing mathematical or logical sets pictorially as circles or closed curves within an enclosing rectangle (the universal set). Common elements of the sets are being represented by intersection of the circles, as shown above. More definitions and explanations here, here and here.

Here is Neha's take on the challenge.

GORGEOUS!!!! :o) Neha used heart shape die cut and made two-curve diagram. She overlapped yellow and red heart and replaced the intersecting part with orange piece (intersecting part has to have properties of both the shapes i.e. orange has both red and yellow in it). Jump over to Neha's blog and find out more details about her card. :o)

And here is my take on the challenge.

I went with three-circle diagramWith my diagram I showed primary and secondary colors, how to mix primary colors to get secondary colors. :o)

I stamped a sentiment in black on a watercolor paper. I wanted to try no-line watercoloring technique. I stamped three intersecting circles with Distress Ink Antique Linen and watercolored them. I used primary colors for "outside" circles and secondary colors for intersecting parts. I glued the panel on a same size white cardstock panel and after on a white top folded card base. As a finishing touch I coated each color with Clear Wink of Stella. :o)

I didn't want to color middle intersecting part and left it white. I wanted to make something similar to colored lights mixing, which give white light, as shown on picture below. My middle intersecting part should be black, but I didn't like it. Find out more about Color Mixing here.

Card dimensions: 89 mm x 89 mm  (3.5" x 3.5")
List of supplies :
  • Paper Smooches 'Sunny Side Up' stamp set (circle)
  • Your Next Stamp 'Perfect Chemistry' stamp set (sentiment)

Mini Rainbow Easter Egg Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

To make this mini card, I used an ADORABLE 'Funny Bunny' stamp setAll Jane's Doodles Easter themed stamp sets are 30% off at the moment. :o)

With a bit of masking, I stamped an egg and a bucket on a watercolor paper panel.

I cut sentiment stamps 'Hoppy Easter' and 'Happy Spring' from the set and divided words. Then I stamped a "new" sentiment on the panel.

I colored my little funny scene with Distress Inks in watercolor technique. After drying, I glued the panel on a square top folded mini card base and added highlights with a white gel pen.

As a finishing touch, I coated the egg and a leaking paint with a Clear Wink of Stella. :o)

Hand Lettering #8: Enjoy Mini Card Set, Cursive Style

Hello everyone!!! :o)

My third and last post today... If you missed previous two, just scroll down or follow direct links here and here.

I love mini cards and mini images. Combining both, I made this hand lettered, CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Enjoy Mini Card Set.

I drew a line and wrote word 'enjoy' on two white cardstock paper card bases in cursive handwriting styleI used dip pen nib and black drawing ink.

I prepared various hand lettered samples during my personal challenge Celebrating 30 Days of Pisces 2017 to color during a 7th 30 Day Coloring Challenge by Kathy Racoosin of The Daily Marker. These two also. I hand lettered them on DAY 9 of my challenge and colored it on a DAY 25 of Kathy's challenge. :o)

I had no idea what I want to do with hand lettered samples for days. Tiny image yes, but which one... Same or different image on both cards.... Nothing fit. And then I received an ADORABLE Gerda Steiner Designs 'Hoppiness' stamp set that I won at The Hoppiness Giveaway. I knew immediately I will use super cute birdie on my both cards.

I CASEd my own card, Sing Mini Card II. I went with same design and layout, but with different birds (from different artists), sentiments and colors.

I stamped birds on both card bases and colored them with colored pencils. I trimmed bottoms of both cards, covered birds' beaks and legs with transparent varnish to create glossy accents and left cards dry couple hours. As a finishing touch, I embellished cards with enamel dots.

Cards measurements: 76 mm x 89 mm (3" x 3.5")

Leo Mini Circle Card

Happy Friday! :o)

My second post today... If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow this link.

Second card I'm sharing today is this CAS (clean and simple), Leo Mini Circle Card I made for my boyfriend.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HONEY!!!

This one looks so nice with other mini I made him for Valentine's Day. If you like you can find it here.

How I made this card...

First I cut out circles from a white cardstock paper and glued them together on top. I love circle shape!! :o)

Then I stamped Leo from Mama Elephant 'Cosmic Stars' stamp set on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut Leo and colored edges with black marker.

Watercolor paper I use is not so thick and it doesn't work good with 3-D foams. I stamped one more Leo on a scrap of white cardstock paper and fussy cut him out, leaving white border around him. I glued colored Leo over uncolored one and my image was thick enough to work well with 3-D foams. :o)

Next up was a sentiment. I stamped part of a sentiment from Create a Smile 'Underwater Love' stamp set directly on a card base. Other part, word 'spectacular', is from Create a Smile 'Birthday Mini' stamp setI heat embossed it in white on a stripe of a black cardstock paper, cut out fish tail endings, glued 3-D foams on the back of the sentiment and glued it on the card.

Then I glued 3-D foams on the back of the Leo and glued him on the card, tight on the top of the banner.

My first intention was to embellish my card with enamel dots, which are my favorite embellishment. It looked weird and I didn't like it at all.

Inspired with Francine's Vuillème work, I decided to add tiny hearts on the card. She adds tiny hearts on cards often. So adorable!! :o)

I'm mostly clumsy and mess cards at the end, so stamping hearts directly on the card was not an option. I stamped twice cute tiny heart from Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set on the watercolor paper, colored hearts with Red Stabilo Marker, fussy cut them out, colored their edges with black marker and glued them directly on the card.

As a finishing touch, I covered hearts with Clear Gloss Resin, to create glossy accents, as well as Leo's muzzle. :o)
