12 Days of Christmas - Day 5 - Sweet Holidays Mini Circle Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I'm continuing with my 12 Days of Christmas Series. Today is 5th Day of day of my series.

Due to some important private stuff I had to finish, I took again a short break from sharing my series... This series is really not working as I planed, but I'm determined to finish sharing what I planned. :o)

By now, I only had giveaways and I Love Math Challenge #18 that I incorporated in this series. If you like, you can check all posts I shared by now here, or following these links:

There is still some time left to join the Day 4 Giveaway, as well as I Love Math Challenge #18 (Day 3). :o)

I'm continuing my 12 Days of Christmas Series with a card: Sweet Holidays Mini Circle CardIt was my spotlight project for Jane's Doodles on Tuesday, November 27th, 2020I didn't share it here on my blog earlier because I wanted to share it in series I planned prior Christmas, but that also didn't work as I planned (I wrote about it here).

To make this card I used stamps from two SUPER CUTE Jane's Doodles stamp sets'Holiday Sweets' and 'Warm and Cozy'. ♥

How I made my card....

First I created a background panel. I randomly stamped candy canes and candies on a Kraft paper in watermark stamping technique using VersaMark Watermark Ink. Then I die cut a wonky stitched circle from the paper and heat embossed a sentiment in white on it.

Then I splattered the panel with a white tempera color mixed with a bit of water and left the panel to dry on air.

Next up was card base. I cut two circles from a white cardstock paper and glued them together on the top. Then I glued the panel on the circle card base.

Next up was an image. I stamped an adorable gingerbread man on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique with a Distress Ink Ground Espresso. After drying, I fussy cut the gingerbread man and traced edges with a black marker.

I stamped another gingerbread man on a white cardstock paper, colored him with a grey marker and fussy cut him, leaving white thin border around him. Then I glued the watercolored gingerbread man over the grey one.

You know I love dimension on my cards. I glued 3-D foam squares on the back of the gingerbread man and glued him on the card.

As a finishing touch I drew white highlights on the gingerbread man using a white gel pen and my card was finished. :o)

I love how my card turned out. :o)

Reindeer Winter Wishes Mini Circle Card (bastel-traum challenge #95)

Hi everyone! :o)

My second post today. If you missed the first one, just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

On November 15th, 2020, a new challenge started at bastel-traum and our theme for the challenge #95 is Winter. :o)

I'm a bit late sharing my post here on my blog, but there is still 2 weeks left to join in the fun.

The challenge started on November 15th, 2020, at 9 AM, CET (UTC +1) and ends on December 15th, 2020, at 8:55 AM, CET (UTC +1). Find all the details about the challenge, rules and prizes in a challenge post (here).

And here is my take on the challenge: Reindeer Winter Wishes Mini Circle Card. :o)

To make this card I was inspired with a card that I shared in my first blog post today (here).

For my card I used an adorable reindeer stamp from Mama Elephant 'Reindeer Games' stamp set, background snowflakes from Jane's Doodles 'Driving Home for Christmas' stamp set and Jane's Doodles 'Snow Globe' stamp set and a sentiment from Your Next Stamp 'Christmas Critters' stamp set (the set is discontinued form YNS shop).

How I made my card....

First I created a background panel. I randomly stamped snowflakes on a Kraft paper in watermark stamping technique using VersaMark Watermark Ink and drew dots with VersaMark Watermark Pen. Then I die cut a wonky stitched circle from the Kraft paper.

Then I made a card base. I cut two circles from a white cardstock paper and glued them together on the top.

I glued the Kraft panel on the circle card base.

Next up was an image. I stamped the reindeer on a watercolor paper and colored him in watercolor technique with Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the reindeer and traced edges with a black marker.

I stamped another reindeer on a white cardstock paper, colored him with a grey marker and fussy cut him, leaving white thin border around the reindeer Then I glued the watercolored reindeer over the grey one.

I die cut a speech bubble form a white cardstock paper and stamped the sentiment on it.

I love dimension on my cards. I glued 3-D foam squares (2 different thickness) on the back of the reindeer and the speech bubble and glued them on the card.

As a finishing touch I drew white highlights on the reindeer using a white gel pen, embellished the card with three brown enamel dots and my card was finished. :o)

I love how my card turned out. :o)

Card measurements: d = 83 mm (3 1/4")

Space Mini Circle Card (bastel-traum challenge #94)

Happy Friday! :o)

On October 15th, 2020, a new challenge started at bastel-traum and our theme for the challenge #94 is Background. :o)

I'm a bit late sharing my post here on my blog, but there is still 9 days left to join in the fun.

The challenge started on October 15th, 2020, at 9 AM, CEST (UTC +2) and ends on November 15th, 2020, at 8:55 AM, CET (UTC +1). Find all the details about the challenge, rules and prizes in a challenge post (here).

And here is my take on the challenge: Space Mini Circle Card. :o)

To make this card I was inspired with a card I made for this year's World Space Week Blog Hop (here).

For my card I used a spaceship stamp from Altenew 'Space Travel' stamp set.

How I made my card...

I colored a background in watercolor technique using Distress Inks Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. I used a thick watercolor paper for it. When I was satisfied with the color, I left the panel to dry on air.

After drying, I die cut a wonky stitched circle from the panel. I stamped the spaceship in black on the panel and colored it with a black marker.

I mixed a white tempera color with a bit of water and splattered the panel with it. I left the panel to dry on air.

After drying, I ink blended edges with the Distress Ink Black Soot to achieve more dramatic look.

Next up was the spaceship. I stamped the spaceship on a thin watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the spaceship, traced edges with the black marker and glued it over the spaceship that I stamped on the panel.

I made a card base from two circles that I cut from a black cardstock paper. I glued circles together on the top and glued the panel on the card base.

As a finishing touch, I drew couple white dots (stars) here and there on the panel using a white pigment ink pen and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements: d = 83 mm (3 1/4")

List of supplies:
  • Altenew 'Space Travel' stamp set (spaceship)
  • black cardstock paper
  • Canson XL Mixed Media Paper, 300 g

Jane's Doodles Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone! :o)

Welcome to a Jane's Doodles Release Blog HopToday we are featuring three new stamp sets released into the store. :o)

GORGEOUS stamps!!! Love love LOVE!!!!! :o)

And here is what I prepared for today: Sweeter than Pumpkin Pie Mini Circle Card using stamps from the 'Pumpkin Patch' stamp set. :o)

I made this card for my sweetheart. He loves orange color. :o)

How I made my card....

First I created a background panel. I stamped randomly pumpkins on a Kraft paper in watermark stamping technique using VersaMark Watermark Ink. Then I die cut a wonky stitched circle from the paper and stamped a sentiment in black on it.

Then I made a card base. I cut two circles from a white cardstock paper and glued them together on the top.

I glued the panel on the circle card base.

Next up were images. I stamped an adorable fox and pumpkins on a watercolor paper and colored them in watercolor technique with Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut images and traced their edges with a black marker.

Then I stamped same images again on a white cardstock paper. I colored images with a grey marker and and fussy cut them, leaving thin white border around them. I glued watercolored images over the grey ones. I did this to make images thicker, as the watercolor paper I use is very thin and I needed thicker images.

I love dimension on my cards. I glued 3-D foams (2 different thickness) on each image and glued images on the card.

As a finishing touch I drew white highlights on images using a white gel pen and my card was finished. :o)

I love how my card turned out!! :o)
