Cute Cow Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this Cute Cow Card. :o)

For my card I used a super fun 'Kal-Bi Cow (Bee)' digital stamp digital image. So cute and fun!! :o) And there are more cute cow images in the store. :o)

I went with similar design as on my own card I made in January this year for KBD, Coffee Panda Card. :o)

I printed the cow on a watercolor paper and left the ink set through the night. Next day I colored the cow in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the cow, traced edges with black marker and softened parts with a stylus ball on a soft working mat.

The watercolor paper I use is too thin, so I printed one more sow on a white cardstock paper, colored the cow with black marker, fussy cut her leaving white border around her and glued colored cow over the black one (paper piecing). Thicker. :o)

Then I stamped a sentiment from Paper Smooches 'Chubby Chums' stamp set on a side folded white card base and drew frame with a black fine liner. I glued some 3-D foam on the back of the cow, glued her on the card and my card was finished. :o)

Coffee Panda Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

Hi everyone! :o)

This is my 600th blog post!! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this CAS (clean and simple), Coffee Panda Card. :o)

To make this card I used a super cute Kitty Bee Designs 'Coffee or Tea Please' digital image. :o)

I printed the panda twice, one on a white cardstock paper and second on a watercolor paper. I colored first one with black marker, fussy cut it and traced edges with a black marker.

I colored the panda printed on the watercolor paper in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I colored a heart on a mug with a black fine liner, fussy cut the panda and traced edges with the black marker.

I glued two pandas together. The watercolor paper I use is very thin, so I had to do this to make the panda thicker, as I wanted to pop it up on my card.

Then I stamped a sentiment from Jane's Doodles 'Coffee Time' stamp set on a side folded white card base and drew frame with a black fine liner. I glued some 3-D foam on the panda and glued it on the card.

As a finishing touch I embellished the card with two enamel dots. :o)

Dimensions: 127 mm x 89 m(5" x 3 1/2")

Reindeer Games Card Series - Card no. #3

Happy Friday!

Today I'm sharing Reindeer Games Card Series here on my blog. I made four CAS cards, same design and layout, couple differences. :o) I had so much fun coloring all those cute reindeer and creating cards with them. :o)

All my posts today are scheduled and will go live every hour from 8 PM to 11 PM. This is my third post today. If you missed previous two, just scroll down or follow direct links here and here.

Here is my third card in this fun Series. :o)

For my card I used a SUPER ADORABLE reindeer from Mama Elephant 'Reindeer Games' stamp set and sentiment from  Create a Smile 'Clear Cool Buddies' stamp set.

Image is paper pieced. I stamped the reindeer on a watercolor paper, colored him in watercolor technique with Distress Inks, fussy cut, colored edges with black marker and softened him with stylus ball.

Then I heat embossed a sentiment in white on a Kraft paper panel, stamped same reindeer again on the panel and colored him in black. I punched two opposite corners on the panel and glued it on a white top folded card base. Then I glued watercolored reindeer over the black one.

As a finishing touch, I drew white stitched frame on the Kraft panel. :o)

Birthday Dino Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

On Wednesday, September 27th, was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Birthday Dino Card. My week was over exhausting and I couldn't blog about it earlier.

To create this card I used stamps from three super adorable Jane's Doodles stamp sets: 'DINO-mite''Simon' and 'Belated Birthday'.

I stamped a scene and sentiment directly on a Kraft cardstock card base and drew straight line frame with fine liner and ruler. I colored the scene with TOZ Artist Color colored pencils, blended colors with paper stumps and colored dino's claws with white gel pen.

As a finishing touch, I "drew lines" on plant leaves and covered dino's spots, tiny hearts and tiny frame squares with a clear gloss resin to create glossy accents.

Education, Quotation Card no. #2 (CRAFT-alnica #193, August GDT)

    Hi everyone! :o)

I was delighted to be asked to be a Guest Designer at CRAFT-alnica, Slovenian challenge blog, for month of AugustTwo weeks ago I shared my first GDT project and today I'm sharing my second project as GDT at CRAFT-alnica.

The challenge for this fortnight is #193 - Okvir / Frame. Use a frame on your project, make or decorate a frame.

I love hand drawn frames, so I decided to go with a hand drawn frameAnd this is my take on the challenge: Education, Quotation Card.

This is a decoration magnet (it has a magnetic sheet on the back). I made it for myself (actually for a refrigerator, as magnets can't stick on me LOL).

To make this one, I was inspired with a Quotation Card I made last year (find it here).

I was also inspired with colors from a photo below shared on Addicted to Stamps and More blog for the challenge #255 - Photo inspiration. :o)

And a photo shared on Cupcakes Inspirations for the challenge CIC419.
    Original photo source: Potter Cakes

I quoted one of my favorite philosophers, Jiddu Krishnamurti. :o)

How I made my quotation card/magnet...

I cut a white watercolor paper panel and typed quotation on a typewriter and drew line frame with superfine permanent marker (0.4 mm).

Images are layered. I stamped pile of books from Jane's Doodles 'Read All About It' stamp set  directly on the panel and once more on a piece of watercolor paper. Then I colored books in watercolor technique using Distress Inks.

I colored a background in watercolor technique using Distress Ink Blueprint Sketch (DIBS). I added several layers of color and dried them between. When I was satisfied with the color, I splattered whole panel with water and DIBS.

After drying, I fussy cut colored books, colored edges with a black marker and glued them over stamped images on the panel. I added white highlights on books and the panel was finished.

The watercolor paper I used was thick and you could kind of see black color of the magnetic sheet through it. To solve this "problem", I cut a white cardstock base, same size as the watercolor paper, and glued colored panel on it. At the end I glued whole card on the magnetic sheet and my quotation card /magnet was finished.

    Dimensions:  88 mm x 126 mm (3 1/2" x 5")

    • Jane's Doodles 'Read All About It' Stamp Set
    • white watercolor paper
