Your Next Stamp May GDT - May Release Special Post

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my sixth guest spot on the Your Next Stamp Blog and I'm sharing a card made with another stamp set from a new May Release (find all YNS new products here). :o)

For my today's card I used a super cute stork and baby image and lovely sentiment (adorable font ♥) from 'Baby Blessings' stamp set. Super cuteness overload!!! LOVE it!!! ♥

And here is my card: Welcome Little One Card. :o)

I made this card for my cousin's son, Luka. I'm visiting my cousin tomorrow, to meet her adorable baby boy who came to this World on April 1st.  :o)


How I made my card...

I ink blended a white cardstock panel with various blue tone Distress Inks. When I was satisfied with the color, I trimmed the panel a bit, because I didn't like edges. I stamped the image and the sentiment directly on the panel. I colored the image with a black fine liner.

Then I mixed a white tempera color with some water, splattered the panel and left it dry on air.

While the panel was drying, I stamped the image on a watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I messed up stork's legs, so I stamped another image and watercolored only stork's legs.

After drying, I fussy cut images (parts I needed) and traced edges with a black marker.

I glued the panel on a white side folded card base. Then I glued fussy cut image pieces (2) on the panel, over the black colored image, and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements: 117 mm x 86 mm (4 5/8"" x 3 3/8")

Special Delivery Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Special Delivery Card.

To make this card, I used an adorable Jane's Doodles 'Special Delivery' stamp set.

First I made a background panel/patterned panel. I used teddy bear, baby bottle and stars stamps from the set and stamped them randomly on a white watercolor paper panel with Distress Ink Iced Spruce.

Next up was an image. I masked baby peeking from a stroller and stamped the stroller on a thick watercolor paper. I colored the stroller in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the stroller leaving a white border around it.

I love dimension on my cards. I glued 2 mm thick foam square on the back of the panel and glued it on a top folded card base. I also glued foams on the back of the stroller and glued it on the card. I also glued a white cardstock paper panel inside the card to make it thicker and more stable when standing.

As a finishing touch, I added white highlights to the stroller using white gel pen.

Welcome Baby Elephant Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #167)

Hi everyone! :o)

Yesterday, a new challenge has started over at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

Our theme for this fortnight is... well better to say are, #167, Mother + Daughter, Father + Son, Mother + Son, Father + Daughter. Pick any theme or themes you like, create something as a couple (with your parent or kid) or create something using matching image. :o)

This time our lucky winner will win this adorable clear stamp.

I went with Mother + Son or Father + Son theme and made this Welcome Baby Elephant Card.

First I made a background paper. I used various baby themed stamps and heart stamps and stamped them randomly on a white watercolor paper panel with Distress Ink Iced Spruce.

Next up was an image. I used ADORABLE Elephants image from Paper Smooches 'A Little Lovin' stamp set. I stamped the image on a thick watercolor paper and colored elephants with Distress Inks in watercolor technique. After drying, I fussy cut elephants leaving white border around them.

Lastly, I worked on a sentiment. I stamped the sentiment from the set on the panel in black and shaded letters with grey fine liner.

I love dimension on my cards. I glued 2 mm thick foam square on the back of the panel and glued it on a top folded card base. I also glued foams on the back of elephants and glued them on card.

As a finishing touch I highlighted elephants and the sentiment with white gel pen and embellished the card with blue enamel dots.

Baby Boy Watercolor Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

On Wednesday, August 24th, was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Baby Boy Watercolor Card.

Last week my cousin was visiting me and this weekend my mom. I had such a wonderful time. I didn't think about computer and spending time on it at all, so my spotlight project post is a bit late. :o)

I made this CAS (clean and simple) card for my friend's baby boy Roko, who was born this month. I used an adorable stamp from Jane's Doodles 'Special Delivery' stamp set.

I stamped the image on a watercolor paper panel and colored it in watercolor technique with Distress Inks. I colored baby's face with colored pencils.

After drying I glued the panel on a white cardstock card base. Through the night the panel wrinkled. So satisfied with coloring but no clue how to flat wrinkles. It made me so sad. After a good cup of coffee I got it. IRON!!! :o)

I covered the card with 100% cotton cloth and ironed the card. Card flattened!!! Happiness overload!! :o)

A Star is born Card (KBD Aloha Friday Challenge #74 Mid Inspiration)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I'm sharing a mid-inspiration project for ongoing Aloha Friday Challenge at Kitty Bee Designs.

The challenge for this fortnight is #74 - Baby.


We have two sponsors for this challenge: All Dressed Up Stamps and Make it Crafty, so there will be double prizes! :o)

For this challenge I made CAS (clean and simple), Monochrome, A Star is born Card, using our sponsor's All Dressed Up Stamps adorable digital image A star is born.

This card is the second card I'll be sending to my friend after she gave birth to a sweet baby boy. First card never arrived to her, neither returned to me. Stork flew somewhere... I hope this one will arrive to whom is meant this time. :o)

How I made this card...

Using Paint program, I cut an image on two parts: bear and sentiment. Then I inserted them both in MS Word document and created layout. I printed it out on a white watercolor paper and left it dry for an hour. I use inkjet printer and always leave image "drying" after printing to prevent ink smearing when coloring. :o)

I colored the image in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I glued the panel on a white cardstock card base.

At the end, using white pen, I added some highlights on the image, and my card was finished. :o)
