You're Magical Card (CASology Week #367)

Hi everyone! :o)

Yesterday, April 28th, a new challenge started at CASology. This fortnight's cue word is Magical. :o)

I had some unexpected situation and couldn't publish this post on time, so I'm bringing it today. The challenge ends on Monday, May 11th, 2020, 9 AM, CDT (UTC -5).

We also have a sponsor for this challenge: UNIKO. Find all details about the prize over at CASology blog.

And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), You're Magical Card. :o)

Design defined:
Plenty of white space, a small amount of color and adding dimension gives a CAS card special interest.

How I made my card....

To make my card I CASEd (copy and share everything) my own card that I made two years ago (here). I went with same design, layout, used same products, only went with a different color scheme. :o)

I used stamps from My Favorite Things 'BB Magical Dragons' stamp set.

I colored an adorable tiny dragon during Kathy's Racoosin 9th 30 Day Coloring Challenge, in February 2018, but didn't use it until now. I still have some images colored during past 30 Day Coloring Challenges that I didn't use on any project, but will surely use them for something. :o)

I stamped the tiny dragon on a watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the dragon and colored the edges with a black marker. And then it waited in a drawer for two years to be used. :o)

I stamped another dragon on a white cardstock paper and colored it in black. I fussy cut it, leaving a thin white border around the dragon. Then I softened the watercolored dragon with a stylus ball and glued it over the black dragon.

Then I heat embossed in white a sentiment on a black cardstock paper, cut out a banner, glued some 3-D foam on it and glued the sentiment on a white top folded card base. I glued 3-D foam on the dragon and placed it to sit on the banner.

As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with two enamel dots. :o)

Gemini Birthday Shaker Card (CASology Week #366 mid-inspiration)

Hi everyone! :o)

Last Tuesday, April 14th, 2020, a new challenge started at CASology
This fortnight's cue word is Zodiac. :o)

There's still plenty of time to join the challenge, which ends on Monday, April 27th, 2020, 9 AM, CDT (UTC -5).

We also have a sponsor for this challenge: STAMPlorations. Find all details about the prize over at CASology blog.

I had one more card that fits our cue, so I'm bringing it today as mid-inspiration. I created the card last year, but I didn't share it anywhere yet.

And here is my 2nd take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), interactive, Gemini Birthday Shaker Card. :o)

Design defined:
Shaker element can work well on CAS card.

How I made my card....

To make my card I used stamps from two Mama Elephant stamp sets: a Gemini image from 'Cosmic Stars' and a sentiment from 'Starry Night'.

I stamped the image on a watercolor paper and colored it in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. After drying, I fussy cut the image and traced edges with black marker.

I stamped another image on a white cardstock paper and fussy cut it, leaving thin white border around it. I colored the image in black.

Then I glued together two images, watercolored one and black one. I did this to make the image thicker, as the watercolor paper I use is very thin.

Next up was a shaker window.

First I die-cut a circle in a white cardstock paper panel, glued an acetate sheet over the window and stamped the sentiment on the panel.

Then I blended Distress Inks directly on a white top folded card base. I splattered the ink blended part with water and repeated process until I was satisfied with a color. I glued 3 mm thick foam squares on the panel, filled window with shaker mix and glued the panel on the card base.

Lastly, I glued some 3-D foam on the image, glued it on the card and my card was finished. :o)

Card measurements:  95 mm x  127 m(3 3/4" x 5")

List of supplies:

And here is a short video. :o)

Llama Tell You... Card (bastel-traum challenge #88)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today a new challenge starts at bastel-traum and our theme for the challenge #88 is Color combination . :o)

You can choose between two color schemes as inspiration to make your papercraft project. Although colors from both color schemes fit together, don't mix them together. Use just one. :o)

Scheme 1

Scheme 2

The challenge starts today, April 15th, 2020, at 9 AM, CEST (UTC +2) and ends on May 15th, 2020, at 8:55 AM, CEST (UTC +2). Find all the details about the challenge, rules and prizes in a challenge post (here).

I used color scheme 1 for my today's card. And here is my take on the challenge: CAS (clean and simple), one layer, Llama Tell You... Card. :o)

My card is a CASE (copy and share everything) of my own card that I shared in September last year (here). Same design, layout and products used, just different color scheme. :o)

How I made my card....

To make my card I used stamps from a super adorable Lawn Fawn 'Llama Tell You' mini stamp set. :o)

I stamped a llama and a sentiment directly on a top folded Kraft paper card base.

I colored the llama and ground with colored pencils and my card was finished. :o)

I left the sentiment "unfinished". When I decide to whom will I give this card, for what occasion and how the sentiment will continue, I will stamp or write the rest inside of the card. :o)

Card measurements: 89 mm x 121 m(3 1/2" x 4 3/4")
