Hot Air Balloons Card

Hi everyone! :o)

Today I'm sharing four cards with you, all in separate posts through the day. All my posts are scheduled and will go live every full odd hour, from 3 PM to 9 PM. This is my 4th and last post today. If you missed previous posts, just scroll down or follow direct links herehere and here. :o)

You all know I'm addicted to CAS design. I wanted to step a bit out of my comfort zone and made this mixed media, Hot Air Balloons Card. :o)

I love hot air balloons!! A stamp I used is from super adorable Create a Smile 'Uplifting' stamp set.

I stamped hot air balloons on a watercolor paper panel (I did some masking too) and watercolored them with Distress Inks.

I made masks for all hot air balloons, masked them and heat embossed in clear Devanāgarī Script at a background. Last year, my dear friend Neha from Periwinkle Creations sent me gorgeous Devanāgarī Script stamp. I Love it!! I never used it before. I think it looks amazing as the background on this card. :o)

I watercolored the background with Distress Inks. As it was too bluish, I smeared white acrylic paint here and there.

After drying, I glued the panel on a top folded white card base.

Next up was a sentiment. I used Create a Smile Black Alpha Stickers for word 'Hello' and glued letters directly on the card. A word 'friend' is from Jane's Doodles 'Monster Squad' stamp set. I heat embossed word 'friend' on a black cardstock paper piece, glued 1 mm thick foam tape on the back of it and placed it on the card.

I love adding white highlights to images. I highlighted hot air balloons with white gel pen and uppercase block letters as well.

Lastly, I coated balloons and sand bags with Clear Wink of Stella and my card was finished. :o)

Happy Day Card (Fairy Tale Challenge #137)

Hi everyone! :o)

Today a new challenge started at Fairy Tale Challenge Blog.

The theme for this fortnight is #137, Balloons

This time our lucky winner will win a digital stamp of winner's choice from Wee Stamps.

For this challenge I made this Happy Day Card. I'm very satisfied how it turned out. :o)

For this card I used Create a Smile 'Uplifting' Stamp Set.

I cut out a panel from a white watercolor paper and heat embossed white clouds on it. I did some masking too.

After heat embossing, I colored the panel, blending it with blue shades of Distress Inks. When I was satisfied with the color of the sky, I splattered water on it. I love love love how Distress Inks react with water! :o)

Next up was an image. It's paper pieced and it has two layers. Some call it faux paper piecing. I stamped one hot air balloon directly on the panel and one on the watercolor paper. Then I colored the image stamped on the watercolor paper, again, blending it with Distress Inks. Of course I had to splatter the image with water. :o)

After drying, I fussy cut the image, colored edges with black pen and glued them on the panel, over the stamped image. Then I colored that tiny sand bags on the hot air balloon with green pen.

At the end, I stamped sentiment on the panel, glued panel on a white cardstock base and embellished card with enamel stickers. :o)

Card dimensions are 101 mm x 132 mm (4" x 5 1/4").

In the Clouds Squash Album

Hello everyone :-D

Here I am with my second post today.

One day I was on DCWV Diary blog and I found this great post, Silky Smooth Banner & Invitation. Very beautiful project. That inspired me. I had to make something with that super cute airplanes using template generously shared in post.

I made Squash mini Album, that was a gift for my best friend who had a baby boy. I didn´t want to share it until now, because I didn´t want her to see it before she receives it. :-D

This is the second Squash Album I made and it is called In the Clouds Album. Enjoy the video.

In this video I used music from a very good friend of mine, very very talented mister, dr.Izzy. I used part of a track Cloud Chaser (Neblak Hunter mix). This was inspiration for an album name.

Front cover

Back Cover

Construction of Squash album is made from card stock paper and album covers from thick cardboard and card stock paper.

Squash Albums have back and front side. Many ladies, whose albums I saw on Internet, don´t decorate both sides of album, but I like to use all space in this lovely and fun construction.

Opened album inside

Opened album back

I made all embellishments using templates and card stock paper and decorated album with them. I made supplies list below, so you can easily find these cute templates. All templates are printed in various sizes. I made my own hand drawn template of the boat inspired by many patchwork sailboats on Pinterest. I didn´t use any template for kite. I made it as I liked it. Very easy to make and will sure share short photo tutorial soon here with you. :-D

Album dimensions are 6" x 6" and dimensions of covers are 6 1/4" x 6 1/4".  It can handle up to 30 photos, or more.

I also made 6 little tags shaped as clouds and hoot air balloons using templates. Tags can be used for notes or small photos.

List of supplies I have used in this project:

I hope you´ll like it. I really appreciate your kind feedback. :-D
If you have any questions about this project, don´t hesitate to contact me. Thank you for stopping by. Night night :-D
