Sending Smiles Card (Jane's Doodles DT Spotlight)

Hi everyone! :o)

This is my second post today. If you missed the first one just scroll down or follow a direct link here.

On Friday was my turn to be on the spotlight over at Jane's Doodles and I made this Sending Smiles Card. Jane shared my card today on the blog, so I'm sharing it also today. :o)

To make this card, I was inspired with a card I created earlier this year, Hey GILL Friend Card. I used stamps from three adorable Jane's Doodles stamp sets. A fish is from a 'Simon' stamp set, bubbles from 'Under the Sea' stamp set and a sentiment from 'Monster Squad' stamp set.

stamped eight fish on a watercolor paper panel and heat embossed bubbles in white. I masked fish and blended the panel with Distress Inks. I splattered the panel with water, dried the panel with Heat It Tool and repeated the process until I was satisfied.

After drying, I removed masks, colored fish in watercolor technique using Distress Inks. I heat embossed in white the sentiment directly on the panel and glued the panel on a white top folded card base.

As a finishing touch I coated fish and bubbles with Wink of Stella. :o)

Congratulations Panda Card (Kitty Bee Designs Spotlight)

    http://kittybeedesigns.blogspot.com/

    Hi everyone! :o)

Today is my turn to be on the spotlight over at Kitty Bee Designs and I made this CAS (clean and simple), masculine, Congratulations Panda Card. :o)

For my today's card I used an ADORABLE Kitty Bee Designs 'Panda Love' digital image.

This is my 4th card using this image. Find previous three here, here and here. :o) To create my today's card, I was inspired with the first card I created using same image, Happy Birthday Panda Card.

I used super cute 'Panda Love' from 2013 January Panda Releases. Love all of them! :o)

I printed the panda on a white cardstock paper, stamped circles around his eyes, colored them with black marker and fussy cut the panda, leaving thick white border around him.

I cut a white square cardstock paper panel, stamped a sentiment on it, glued it on a foam sheet square and glued it on a white square top folded card base. Then I glued 3-D foams on the image and glued it on the card. As a finishing touch, I embellished the card with blue enamel stars. :o)

    Dimensions: 89 mm x 89 mm (3.5" x 3.5")

      Happy Birthday Dad

      Hi everyone!!

Today I want to share with you this CAS (clean and simple), Summer Night Card II I made for my dad, who's birthday is today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!! You are a wonderful teacher and great inspiration.

My dad's favorite color is blue, he loves summer and sailboats, so I decided to CASE my own card that I made last month, Summer Night Card. I went with same design, layout and summery theme, but skipped adding any sentiment on the card. :o)

I used handmade circle stencil to create Blue Moon. I blended Distress Inks directly on a white top folded card base through the stencil. When I was satisfied with the color, I removed the stencil and stamped tiny stars in black.

I colored in black wooden sailboat using Ranger's Archival Ink, Jet Black, dried it with Heat It Tool and glued it on the card and my card was finished. Super easy and fast to create. :o)

      Card dimensions: 95 mm x 126 mm (3 3/4" x 5")

      List of supplies:
      • handmade circle stencil, d = 2 1/2"
      • Mama Elephant 'Cosmic Stars' stamp set (larger star)
